Objectives: After attending this program you will be able to:

  • Discuss how to control the spread and incidence of infectious disease from nosocomial infections to avian flu.
  • Describe how to ensure the effectiveness of emergency preparedness and rapid response efforts.
  • Discuss the prevention and control of chronic diseases including obesity and diabetes.
  • Describe how to leverage the National Health Information Network capabilities to ensure interoperability across organizations.
