With an increasing aging population and the onset of value-based payment structures, hospitals and health systems must be able to deliver on health and quality, while simultaneously reducing costs. However, there are challenges to overcome before a hospital or health system can focus on these goals.
Creating a sustainable and profitable hospital and health system, which is ready to promise and deliver reliable patient-centered, evidence based care for every patient, every time, is the key to transformation of the entire health care system. To do this, strategic plans must be put in place that respond to the changes and challenges that each hospital and health system faces.
