On Tuesday, March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed a landmark health care bill into law. The World Congress Leadership Summit on Health Care Reform is designed to discuss the implications for specific areas of health care including state-level legal mandates and regulations, Medicare and Medicaid policies and funding, emerging legislation, development of health insurance exchanges and their impact on existing health plans.

The anticipated changes for the health care industry have resulted in a number of unanswered questions. Leaders in health care services are being proactive in seeking information on how the reform will impact their specific areas. They are looking to legal experts, state and federal representatives, directors of insurance plans and Medicare and Medicaid representatives among other resources.
