The U.S. health system is at a critical juncture and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) hold the promise to enhance health care quality, improve efficiency and reduce costs. As provider-based organizations, ACOs build on the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and offer a more coordinated and integrated approach to care delivery. Research has shown that comprehensive primary and coordinated care, strong leadership, the alignment of goals and incentives, and ongoing performance measurement are critical ingredients needed for a highly performing health care organization.

Building on the success of the May 2010 Summit held in Washington, DC, The World Congress Leadership Summit on Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) West will convene providers and payers to discuss strategies for integrating and participating in an ACO that offers shared savings for improving the quality of care and costs. Through thought-provoking panels, themed roundtable workgroups and other forums, you will gain strategies from the leading organizations that are actually planning and implementing these models.
