CONFERENCES: INDUSTRY SECTOR DEFINITIONS (For pricing)
Pricing for certain events is broken down into separate sectors. To see if you are qualified for specific industry prices please refer to the definitions below. NOTE: If you submit payment for an industry price that you do not qualify, our Customer Relations Team will contact you to settle any pricing discrepancies.
HR Benefits Evecutive:
The chief executive responsible for the purchasing and administration of health benefits within an organization that is not in the business of providing health care products or services. Title examples: VP of Human Resources, Director of Benefits, Benefits Manager, COO*, Operations Manager*
(*if health benefits purchasing is their duty).
Hospital/Health System:
An employee of a Hospital or Health System. The delegate must register as a representative of their affiliated hospital. Generally, clinics, home care providers, independent physician practices, physician group practices, and other care-providing facilities fall under this category.
Payer:
Senior executives from a health plan or insurer.
Academic:
Faculty or administrative personnel from an academic institution (college or university). The delegate must register as a representative of their affiliated academic institution.
Non Profit:
Senior executive from a non-profit organization. A non-profit organization is any organization that does not aim to make a profit, which is not a public body and is classified under the tax code as 501(c)(3). The delegate must not fall into any other Industry Sector to receive this rate. We reserve the right to request a delegate prove 501(c)(3) status.
Government:
Politicians currently-in-office; employees of either the federal, state, or city/town government organizations; or Armed Forces personnel (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard). The delegate must register as a representative of their affiliated government office/organization.
