Charles Valdes has been unanimously elected member of the Board since 1984. Mr. Valdes serves as Chair of the Investment Committee and Vice Chair of the Health Benefits Committee. He also serves on the Finance Committee, the Executive Performance and Compensation Committee, the Ad Hoc Committee on Information Requirements/Presentation of Information, and the Policy Subcommittee of the Investment Committee. Mr. Valdes is a senior attorney for the California Department of Transportation is a member of the International Executive Board of the Service Employees International Union.
