Congress is the producer of The World Health Care Congress, the
first focused and inclusive conference to determine and to implement
solutions for an improved U.S. health care system that focuses on
the needs of the nation’s largest employers.
The World Health Care Congress will convene the major constituencies
in health care including: leading health care purchasers, payers,
providers, suppliers, analysts and governmental officials. Delegates
will determine actionable goals and feasible implementation strategies
for a new healthcare model that is based on value, quality and consumer
choice.
World Congress also produces a Leadership Summit Series for senior-level
executives across all sectors of the health care industry. The 2005
Leadership Summit Series will include:
- The Leadership Summit on Healthcare Quality and Pay-for-Performance
Contracting
- The Leadership Summit on Excellence in Health Plan Product Development
- Leadership Summit on Chronic Care and Disease Management
World Congress Conference Manager
World Congress conference managers are entrepreneurial with a drive
to identify and forecast health care industry trends to develop
a vision for strategic, leadership events. Candidates must demonstrate
strong investigative and analytical research skills and the ability
to translate this research into a compelling conference agenda.
Candidates also must able to develop commercially-viable conference
agendas, participate in sponsorship discussions, recruit the highest
caliber speakers and give strategic direction to marketing and promotional
efforts.
World Congress conference managers bring 2-5 years business experience,
preferably in health care, pharma/biotech or conference production,
as well as BS/BA in Journalism, Marketing Communications or Business
Management. Strong written and verbal communications skills and
the ability to produce a strategic event in a timely manner is a
necessity.
Responsibilities include:
- Research health care trends and identify viable conference topics
- Develop a strategic vision for the event and communicate that
vision internally and externally
- Foster relationships with health care thought leaders
- Create innovative, valuable program agendas
- Lead a talented team of operations, marketing and sponsorship
sales professionals
- Travel to national events and network with hundreds of senior
level executives

Conference Coordinator, World Congress
The World Congress Conference Coordinator will serve in many important
roles -- both off-site and on-site. Prior to the conference, candidates
will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills,
be detail-oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously (including serve as liaisons with conference speakers,
prepare conference documentation, make travel arrangements, determine
food and beverage requirements, audio visual needs, room setups
and budgets.) At the conference the conference coordinator will
display a high level of professionalism and customer service when
interacting with speakers and conference attendees (including acting
as hotel liaison to process all banquet event orders, managing on-site
registration, handling speaker requests.) Please be prepared to
travel to up to 6 conferences per year.
This is an entry-level position that reports to the Executive Vice
President. You will have 0 - 2 years business experience and a BA/BS
in Communications, Business Management or Meeting Planning is preferred.
