Patrick J McManus, the 55^th mayor of Lynn, took office in January, 1922. Mr. McManus, an active mayor on both the local and national levels, quickly established himself as a trustee with the United States Conference and a Chairman of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors. Mayor McManus, as Chairman of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Urban Water Council, is nationally recognized as a leader in the effort to identify and prioritize key water issues facing cities and to suggest strategies toward addressing them. He also serves as Chairman of the United States Conference of Mayors Science and Technology Subcommittee, Vice Chairman of the Urban Economic Policy Committee, and is an active member of the Mayor’s Brownfields Task Force; Jobs Training and Economic Development Incentives Task Force; and the Arts, Culture and Recreation Committee.
