Mr. DeWitt joined Hambrecht & Quist as CIO in June 1998. In this role he is responsible for managing the growth and development of the firm’s technology infrastructure, including its role as a strategic asset. Prior to H&Q Mr. DeWitt was the Chief Information Officer at Bank America Robertson Stephens (formerly Robertson Stephens & Company); and Executive Vice President at Bank America, managing technology and Operations for the Global Asset Management Division. This included domestic and foreign mutual funds, venture funds, and the Trust and Private Client businesses, with offices throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
