The 4th Annual World Congress Leadership Summit on Palliative Care
This unique conference focuses on the successful strategic coordination of the entire end of life process to advance the last phase of life for patients. With health care reform affecting all aspects of advanced planning, each stake holder must be able to prepare for change. Leading the need for change is the implementation of the new ICD-10 codes, reimbursement change, and a shifting focus to care quality.
2012 will congregate an all inclusive group of end of life business stakeholders including hospitals and health systems, palliative care organization, home care, hospices and payers. In a cross sectional format, all parties get the chance to review topics such as readmission reduction, better quality outcomes, and cost containment, and discuss how to better the continuity of care for patients throughout the entire end of life process.
New for 2012:
- Medicare’s next steps: ICD-10 coding, documentation and billing, and health care reform’s focus on quality
- How to coordinate the entire end of life process to ensure patients get the maximum benefit
- Understand the IT infrastructure available behind end of life to ensure better communication among caretakers
- How to perfect your palliative care program
- Best practices to reduce readmissions and contain costs
- Initiate a patient centered medical home and advancing the home care initiative
- Visit existing ethical and legal issues regarding end of life
