Bryan Adams is the Chief Commercial Officer of GreatCall, Inc., the leader in connected health for active aging. Bryan joined the company in December of 2016 as a part of the Healthsense acquisition. Bryan leads a cross-functional team that addresses two related areas. The first is the company’s broad data science initiative: leveraging the company’s sizable data set to improve the experience for both internal and external customers. The second is the commercial product: ensuring that the GreatCall offering in the healthcare space both leverages the company’s data science department and also meets the broader needs of the market. Prior to GreatCall, Bryan was the CTO at Healthsense for almost 5 years, where he led the engineering, IT, product management, customer service, and clinical service teams. Prior to that, he was the CTO and founder of a startup in the mobile advertising space, and prior to that he was a Principal Investigator at iRobot, helping them start a healthcare group. He holds a BS, MEng, and PhD in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

With a decade of experience in worksite health promotion, Megan has a depth of knowledge in implementing strategic health promotion programs for large global institutions.

In her current role at Citi Megan is a key player in the development and implementation of Citi’s global wellness strategy. She is responsible for developing Citi’s global health promotion programs that are implemented acoss the organization. She acts as a consultant to countries and regions as they develop their wellness programs and spearheds collaborationg between various departments such as benefits, fitness, dining, corporate reality, and global public affairs to continue to expand awareness of Citi’s wellness priorities.

She has expertise in chronic condition prevention, employee engagment, strategic planning, health promotion program planning and implementation. Megan has a Masters of Science in Health Promotion Management from American University, Bacherlors Degree in Human Movement from Sacred Heart University, and is CHES Certified.

Greg Androney is the Director of Marketing Analytics and Consumer Engagement at Blue Cross Blue Shield NC, responsible for building and supporting engagement strategies across the enterprise to enhance the experience and improve the health of all members. Greg has spent 13 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield NC in various roles that include Information Technology, Business Process, and most recently Marketing. This multi-disciplinary background has enabled him to provide a holistic perspective and understanding of what it takes to create and maintain lasting engagement experiences.

Kim Disini Ariyabuddhiphongs, MD, serves as Medical Director of Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO), a value-based physician and hospital network and Accountable Care Organization in Westwood, Massachusetts.

Bridging experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and her passion for health care delivery transformation and innovation, Kim works directly with the BIDCO Chief Medical Officer to develop and implement BIDCO’s vision to engage physicians in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care.

Kim is a primary care physician (PCP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), where she has also held a variety of administrative leadership positions. She previously served as the Principal Innovator-BIDMC of the Academic Innovations Collaborative (AIC) of the Harvard Medical School’s Center for Primary Care where she transformed HealthCare Associates (HCA), a large, academic, hospital-based primary care practice into a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) that achieved the highest level of certification with a Level III National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) designation. Under her leadership, HCA became the initial site for electronic closed loop referrals, transformed to team-based care, and launched its journey on a population health approach through quality metric initiatives and patient- engagement programs. Prior to this role, Kim also served as Medical Director for the BIDMC Cheng and Tsui Center for Integrative Care.

Kim is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and teaches medical students and residents in internal medicine and women’s health. Kim graduated cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, and earned her MD from the State University of New York (SUNY), Downstate College of Medicine. She completed both her internship and residency training in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine Primary Care Program.

Dr. Atreja has received formal training in public health and is board certified in gastroenterology, clinical informatics and internal medicine. Over the last fifteen years, he has led many public health and informatics initiatives at Cleveland Clinic and Mount Sinai Medical Center, NY that includes developing online education modules, leading EHR implementation, performing analytics on healthcare data and developing enterprise-wide mobile apps. As Chief Technology Innovation and Engagement Officer, Medicine, he leads the Sinai AppLab (www.sinaiapplab.org) that is one of the first collaborative hub within academic medical center to build and test disruptive mhealth technologies.

Dr. Atreja leads scientific registries for American Gastroenterology Association and serves in Innovation Advisory Board for American College of Cardiology. As an intrapreneur, Dr. Atreja has won innovation awards at Cleveland Clinic and Mount Sinai, successfully licensed technologies from academic centers and advises startups, accelerators and Fortune 500 companies in digital medicine. Recently, Dr. Atreja established Network of Digital Medicine (www.nodehealth.org) to connect innovation centers worldwide and share best practices for digital medicine innovation and implementation between industry, payers and health systems. Dr. Atreja serves as Scientific Co-founder for Mount Sinai Spinoff, Responsive Health (http://responsivehealth.org) that aims to bring first enterprise-wide app curation, prescription and engagement platform to risk sharing hospitals and payers. Dr. Atreja has published more than 60 papers and has been a keynote speaker globally on topics related to digital medicine and health system transformation.

Earlier this year, Matt Bernard joined Creo as the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. In this role, he works to expand hyper-personalized healthcare to everyone by developing and executing creative alliances with key players across the healthcare ecosystem. Mr. Bernard is a passionate healthcare and business professional. He’s developed and implemented strategic operational initiatives for healthcare companies and coordinated and facilitated transformation initiatives for integrated health systems, safety net hospitals and medical group practices. In previous roles, Mr. Bernard was a healthcare consultant in PwC’s Healthcare Advisory practice; a Market Research and Strategy Manager for Accretive Health; and an independent consultant, helping healthcare startups with market penetration and strategy execution.

Mr. Bernard earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Virginia, and he has also earned the designation of Board Certified Medical Practice Executive from ACPE/MGAMA.

As Senior Program manager, Ryan leads the Telehealth strategies & programs at the Partners Healthcare’s Center for Population Health.

Ryan works closely with institutional stakeholders around design, development, implementation & the measurement for both synchronous and asynchronous Telehealth initiatives. He has over 7+ years working within Information Systems and Technology for Partners Healthcare systems. Prior to joining the Telehealth team, his focus had been primarily based within Ambulatory Quality & Improvement and Primary care workflow optimization implementation strategies for EHR integration. The role included identifying system solutions within an EHR to help ~215 Primary Care practice attain National Center for Quality Achievement (NCQA)’s certified Medical Home Recognition. In addition, Ryan lead a cross collaborative team on the design and build of an adult and pediatric Primary Care registry for use across Partners Healthcare.

As a senior associate and first employee of Leap Orbit, Mike manages key projects and identifies opportunities for collaboration. Mike serves as the Director of Innovation with CRISP, a regional health information exchange, managing an Agile development team and exploring new ways to deliver information into the workflow of providers—standards-based or otherwise.. Mike served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tutume, Botswana (2013-2015), where he focused on leveraging technology and information exchange to combat Malaria and HIV/AIDS. Outside of work, Mike enjoys road biking and rock climbing. Mike is a currently a board member of the Baltimore Medical System, an FQHC serving the Baltimore, MD area.

Joseph Brennan serves as the Senior Director of MedNow, the telehealth division of Spectrum Health, a 12-hospital, nonprofit health system based in Western Michigan. Since helping start MedNow in 2014, Joe has overseen the launch and scale of both MedNow’s Direct-to-Consumer primary care and specialty telemedicine services.

Joe has championed several pioneering components of Spectrum’s MedNow program, including a robust dashboard for outcomes analytics, a custom developed mobile app, and a digitally-driven, multimodal advertising strategy. He is also an active participant in industry events and has been honored for his commitment to community partnership. Joe was most recently named a Crain’s Detroit Business Health Care Hero for his work on patient access through the MedNow platform.

Prior to joining Spectrum Health MedNow, Joe served in various positions in technology and start-up entrepreneurship. He graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Leadership and is currently enrolled in the Stanford University Graduate School of Business LEAD Program.

JOHN B. BULGER, DO, MBA is the Chief Medical Officer of Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) and the Chief Medical Officer for Population Health for Geisinger. The Geisinger Health System has a clinical presence spanning central Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. GHP serves over 500,000 members throughout central Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maine. He is tasked with improving the quality of care and adding value for the people and populations that Geisinger serves.

Dr. Bulger served as the Chief Quality Officer for Geisinger from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, Dr. Bulger founded Geisinger Medical Center’s hospitalist program with six physicians and lead the program’s development to include six hospitals and over 100 physicians and advanced practitioners.

Dr. Bulger is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Juniata College, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Pennsylvania State University. His wife Michele is a pediatrician and member of Geisinger’s faculty. They reside in Danville with their children Ethan, Ben, and Ava.

Alexandra “Alex� Castillo, MPH is a dynamic population health leader and researcher with experience improving population health outcomes by using data and analytics to drive improvements and transformation. Ms. Castillo is the Executive Director for the Center for Informatics and Analytics (CIA) and Graduate Faculty in the John D. Bower School of Population Health at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). In her current position, Ms. Castillo provides strategic leadership in the administration and governance of UMMC’s data and analytics, and is an innovator in statewide analytics efforts.

Ms. Castillo received her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master’s in Public Health with an emphasis in Public Health Policy and Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Under her leadership, the CIA received the AAMC Learning Healthcare System Pioneer Award. Ms. Castillo is also the 2018 recipient of the Group on Women in Medicine and Science (GWIMS) Innovation Award.

David Cattell-Gordon is the Director of Telemedicine at the University of Virginia’s Karen S. Rheuban Center for Telehealth. He also serves as the Director of Rural Network for the UVA Health System. At the University, he teaches and serves on the faculty in Public Health Sciences and the School of Nursing. He has been involved with telemedicine since 1997, overseen telehealth initiatives at UVA since 2007 and been part of the team that lead UVA to have one of the nation’s leading programs.

The University of Virginia’s Center for Telehealth provides telehealth services in over 60 different specialties through a network of over 150 sites and supports broad-scale translational research through telehealth research initiatives. The Center operates the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth resource center serving 8 Mid-Atlantic States and the District of Columbia. UVA Telehealth has also launched pioneering programs in remote monitoring, pediatrics, cancer control, and global outreach. In 22 years the Center has spared the burden of travel for Virginians of over 17 million miles.

David, who was born and raised in the coalfields of Southeastern West Virginia, is a community organizer by training with advanced degrees in divinity and social work. David is also co-founder and senior advisor to The Healthy Appalachia Institute—a public health initiative-- at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise, located in Virginia’s coalfields. He is also co-founder of the Virginia Institute of Autism, an applied behavioral school, support program and research organization, and has published widely in the fields of autism, telemedicine as well as Appalachian culture.

David has received the Cisco Inaugural Telehealth Center of Excellence Award, The Virginia Governor’s Technology Award and the Doulas Wilder Excellence in Government Award. He is a member of the American Telemedicine Association, the National Association of Social Workers and a board member of the Mid-Atlantic Telehealth Resources Center and the Virginia Institute of Autism.

David Contorno is President of Lake Norman Benefits, now part of the Hilb Group and one of the employee benefit practice leaders inside this now top 40 largest insurance agency. As a native of New York, David began his career in the insurance industry at the age of 14, and has since become a leading expert in the realm of employee benefits over the last 21 years. The Hilb Group continues to grow organically by ensuring all management is handled locally, providing top notch solutions and supports, and through strategic acquisitions.

Among his many accolades, David received a Broker Spotlight in 2004 and was recognized as an outstanding Broker of Service in 2005 through 2014 by Blue Cross Blue Shield. He has continually received the Echelon Award by United Healthcare since 2003, reserved for the top 1% of agents nationally, and was a 2015 "40 Under 40" Award Winner presented by Charlotte Business Journal. Most recently, David was Benefits Selling Magazine's 2015 Broker of the Year and, in March 2016, Forbes deemed him "One of America's Most Innovative Benefits Leaders."

David is a member of the Board of Directors for both the Charlotte Association of Health Underwriters and Healthreach Community Clinic. He served on the NC Insurance Commissioners Life and Health Agent Advisory Committee, as well as participated in the Technical Advisory Group that helped with the Market Reforms required under the Affordable Care Act in North Carolina. He is a long-time member of the Lake Norman and South Iredell Chambers of Commerce as well as the National, North Carolina, New York and Long Island Associations of Health Underwriters. David contributes to numerous publications, including Forbes, Benefits Selling Magazine, Business Leader Magazine and Insurance Thought Leadership.

David is committed to giving back to his community and actively participates in the membership drive for the United Way, assisting the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and supporting The Dove House Child Advocacy Center. When he is not working, he enjoys boating, traveling, and being with his wife, Heather, and their two children, Hannah and Ethan.

Kevin Cook is the Chief Executive Officer of the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Health System. In this role, Kevin is responsible for UMMC’s Adult Hospital, Wiser Woman’s Hospital, Children’s of Mississippi, Holmes County Hospital, and UMMC Grenada. Prior to this role he spent 8 years with Mercy Health based in Cincinnati. While with Mercy Health, Kevin was a Regional CEO, Market CEO, and Hospital Chief Operating Officer serving in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. His prior experience also includes working for Triad Hospitals in Mississippi. Before his career in hospital operations, Kevin worked with Caldwell Butler and Associates as a Six Sigma Engineer, and as Director of Operations at the Premier Innovation Institute.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hobart College, and a Master’s Degree in Business from Boston University. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1991 to 1999 rising to the rank of Major. Kevin is currently Faculty for ACHE on two ACHE Cluster Courses, has been a Featured Speaker on the use of Six Sigma in Healthcare for Pfizer’s Quality Forums Series, and has been recognized by the Jackson Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s top CEOs.

Tiffany Creighton began her career at Kaiser Permanente in 2002, as a graduate intern in Southern California regional Member Health Education. She currently serves as the department administrator of the Center for Healthy Living (formerly Health Education) at Kaiser Permanente South Bay. In this role, she promotes the health and wellness of Kaiser Permanente’s members, employees and broader community through a variety of classes and supportive services. Prior to her current position, Tiffany served as Kaiser Permanente South Bay’s Healthy Workforce Project Manager, implementing wellness initiatives, reestablishing the medical center’s farmer’s market, and reducing workplace injuries among the medical center’s nearly 4,000 physicians and staff. She played an instrumental role in implementing a variety of healthy eating and active living programs across the South Bay service area—including local farm stands, healthy cooking classes, an employee wellness center, and free fitness classes in local parks.

Tiffany holds a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles. She enjoys staying active with her two children, Maddy and Jack. If she had free time, she’d spend it gardening, knitting, and bicycling around her adopted city of Long Beach, California.

Kathryn King Cristaldi, M.D., MHS, is the medical Director for School Based Health and External Consultation, Associate Program Director for the National Telehealth Center of Excellence, and an assistant professor in the Division of General Pediatrics at MUSC Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Cristaldi is a general pediatrician with a special interest implementing innovative programs targeted at extending the reach of primary care and preventative medicine to underserved populations. Hailing from a rural area herself, she has continuously sought out opportunities to form networks within her local community to support public health interventions. Beginning early in her pediatric training, Dr. Cristaldi was able to leverage community relationships to form a strong research partnership between the school district and the medical university in order to evaluate school-based health programs. She continued this partnership through her fellowship resulting in an AAP Young Investigator Award.

Following fellowship, Dr. Cristaldi accepted an appointment as the Medical Director for School-Based Health in the Center for Telehealth at MUSC. In this role directs the growth of, programmatic functioning, evaluation and the clinical care provided by other pediatricians, nurse practitioners and herself in approximately 80 school-based telehealth centers across South Carolina. In addition, as Director of External Consultation she directs a team of providers, administrators and information technology professionals who provide telehealth consultation to external entities and statewide partners. Most recently, she has been named the Associate Director of MUSC’s HRSA designated National Telehealth Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence designation was awarded to MUSC as academic medical center with a history of both breadth and depth in telehealth programing. As a Center of Excellence MUSC will inform the national telehealth landscape through the following objectives 1) Analyize of the impact of telehealth on federal and local healthcare spending, 2) Detect key aspects of provider and patient engagement in telehealth and 3) Define and disseminate materials for implementation of an open access network.

In addition, she has helped form the South Carolina School-Based Health Collaborative, bringing providers from across the state together to examine best-practices for school-based health. She co-chairs the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance’s School-Based Telehealth Workgroup, forming a network of hospital systems, providers who collaborate together and with state agencies to implement school-based telehealth programs in areas of highest health and educational disparities. Dr. Cristaldi also serves as the representative from the AAP Section on Telehealth Care to the Pediatric Academic Society (PAS) Meeting Program Committee and has been asked to present at numerous national conferences to share her experience developing and implementing state-wide telehealth programs.

Dr. Cristaldi received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Dayton and earned her Medical Degree at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her pediatric residency at MUSC, and an academic generalist fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University, earning a Master of Health Science degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Todd Czartoski is Chief Executive, Telehealth and Chief Medical Technology Officer for Providence St. Joseph Health. He oversees enterprise level telemedicine services and integration of technology into the clinical space across the organization. Prior to this role, he was Executive Medical Director for Providence Telehealth and Chief of Neurology at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute. Todd had been with Swedish for nearly 10 years. He started the Swedish Neurohospitalist program in 2007 and helped develop the Swedish Telestroke network. He also served as SNI medical director for quality and outcomes for 6 years. In late 2012 he took over as Chief of Neurology. During his tenure as Chief, SNI grew from 27 to 64 employed Neurologists with 15 APCs. In 2011 he became medical director for Telehealth at Swedish and in 2014 joined Providence as System EMD for Telehealth.

Todd attended medical school at Ohio State University and completed his Medicine Internship, Neurology residency, and an Infectious disease fellowship at the University of Washington. He is Board Certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology with special interests in CNS infections and Stroke. In 2003 he was honored as a Harborview Medical Center Resident of the Year. In 2014 he received the First Annual Rod and Nancy Hochman Physician Executive Scholarship Award.

Kim Fortunato was named Director-Community Affairs and President-Campbell Soup Foundation in May 2016. Kim is responsible for Campbell’s community affairs strategy and program, including employee volunteerism, Campbell’s Healthy Communities, and enterprise-wide expansion of the community affairs strategies. She joined Campbell in 2010 as the founding Director of Campbell’s Healthy Communities, the company’s signature philanthropic program based on a collective impact approach.

Kim speaks nationally on the role of the private sector in public/private partnerships employing a collective impact approach. In December 2015, the National Academy of Medicine published her report on “The Private-Sector Role in Building Healthy Communities: A Collective Impact Approach.�

Kim earned her B.A. degree in French and comparative literature from Duke University, and her J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law.

Dr. Shantanu Gaur is the co-founder and CEO of Allurion Technologies. Together with his partners, Shantanu has overseen Allurion’s research and development, fundraising, and clinical programs. Allurion’s mission is to help people realize their full potential with innovative, scalable, and trusted products. Specifically, the company has developed what Shantanu calls “Weight Loss 2.0� products that are more effective than diet and exercise but safer, cheaper, and more accessible than weight loss surgery. Allurion’s flagship product—the Elipse® Balloon—is the world’s first and only procedureless gastric balloon for weight loss and is now available for commercial sale internationally.

Shantanu is the lead inventor on several US and international patents and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. He has been invited to speak on the Elipse Balloon, obesity, and medical device innovation at several worldwide congresses and has also spoken widely on the use of crowdsourcing to make research more efficient and participant-centric. Shantanu is also a lecturer for Harvard Medical School’s Executive Education program where he has been invited to speak on new frontiers in medical device development.

Shantanu graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from Harvard College and with an M.D. from Harvard Medical School where he was a Paul Revere Frothingham Scholar and Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow. He lives in Boston, MA with his wife Neha and son Yuvraj.

Mark Green is currently Ochsner Health Systems Assistant Vice President of Transitions of Care, and their Post-acute network. This includes their Care Coordination Center (C3), . Mark holds credentials as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a certified project manager, and a MBA / MHA Mark presents nationally on a variety of relevant healthcare topics including, Post-acute network development, right sizing utilization in the post-acute space through innovative programs, building and scaling readmission reduction programs, optimizing care coordination / transition management efforts, and defining social determinants role in new care management efforts.

I am an internist/hospitalist/palliative care physician. I went to medical school and did my residency at The University of Pennsylvania. I spent a year in Hawaii as one of the first hospitalists at Kaiser Permanente, then spent a couple years as a teaching attending at SUNY Syracuse. In 1998 I moved to Atlanta, Georgia and joined Kaiser Permanente there. I started as a primary care doc and hospitalist and grew into administrative roles including Associate Medical Director for Primary Care, Specialty Care, Acute Care and Resource Stewardship-building and managing programs in Palliative Care, Hospital Medicine, Urgent Care and Population Health. In 2013 I joined WellStar Health System as VP for Population Health and spent 3 years building the pop health program in support of the their MSSP ACO, building a clinically integrated network and launching a comprehensive care clinic to support our patients with severe CHF and COPD. I came to Memorial Hermann in 2016 to be the Chief Medical Officer for the MH Health Plan and in late 2017 I became the CMO for Accountable Care and Population Health for the system. I am responsible for the health plan clinical strategic planning, ambulatory care and case management, wellness and health navigation, clinical cost and quality analytics, ambulatory quality and population health.

Lynn Hamilton is the Chief Commercial Officer at Talkspace responsible for strategy and enterprise growth across multiple sectors including employers, payors, health delivery systems, universities and local, state and federal agencies.

Prior to Talkspace, Lynn was at Magellan Health for nearly seven years. As the Senior Vice President for Magellan Health’s Employer and Federal Government businesses she was responsible for the oversight of existing account relationships, new business development, service delivery, quality and operations. Lynn oversaw the launch of the Federal business for Magellan resulting in several significant contract wins for Military Behavioral Health.

Prior to Magellan, she was Vice President at CIGNA Healthcare where she held a variety of leadership roles with increasing responsibility during her 10-year tenure including financial roles and account management and business development oversight. Before CIGNA, she held senior financial roles at MedPartners in the Physician practice management industry.

Lynn received her BS in Accounting from Fairfield University and a MBA in Finance and Healthcare from the University of Connecticut. She holds a CPA certificate in the State of Connecticut and began her career at Ernst & Young, LLP.

Gabrielle Harmening is the Senior Manager of Enterprise Worksite Wellness for Health Care Service Corporation. In her current role, Gabrielle oversees a team of subject matter experts in health promotion that provide guidance and support to organizations in the design and implementation of worksite wellness programs. She has worked in health promotion and wellness for 30 years.

Drawing upon her years of experience in the field, Gabrielle understands all types of work environments and how best to facilitate, design and deliver programs to increase member engagement and drive overall population health management. She holds Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology and Health Promotion from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelors of Arts in English and Communications from Houston Baptist University.

She is credentialed through the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Association of Workplace Health Promotion. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Change Management Specialist. Most recently, Gabrielle completed her certification and training as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. She served as the past Chair for the Tobacco Coalition for the state Oklahoma and is a presenter and facilitator for the American Lung Association Freedom From Smoking Program. She is a former member of the Board of the American Heart Association for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma.

Raj Hazarika is a Medical Director at Tufts Health Plan, a Boston based multi-state plan serving Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid populations. In addition, he holds an academic appointment in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He continues to see patients on a limited basis at a health center serving a diverse community in East Boston. His past experiences have included delivering primary care, leading a sizable urgent care department and working in management consulting at the Boston Consulting Group.

Dr. Henderson is the Chief Telehealth & Innovation Officer for the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). She holds dual appointments in the School of Medicine and School of Nursing at UMMC. A few of her accomplishments include: 2015 Mississippi Leading Business Women, 2013 Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Fellow, the 2014 Nurse Innovator of the Year, 2012 Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year, and voted an "Edge Runner" by the American Academy of Nurses.

Dr. Henderson has spent the last twenty years of her career as an administrator, educator, innovator, researcher and clinician. Her focus is the development of innovative approaches to transforming the health care system. She has led the development of a statewide Telehealth Program, which is recognized as a top telehealth program nationally. Dr. Henderson has testified to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation’s Subcommittee hearing entitled “Advancing Telehealth through Connectivity� as well as the subcommittee on Rural Health. She has testified to the White House Domestic Policy Council and has made numerous presentations across the country to advance telehealth policy and practice including giving a TEDx talk. Dr. Henderson is regularly consulted by other state health care leaders, politicians, physicians, nurses, journalists and members of the academic community.

Some of her leadership roles include service as board member of the American Telemedicine Association, Executive Director of the Mississippi Telehealth Association and board member of Mississippi Health Information Network. Dr. Henderson is also a Fellow in the Emergency Nurses Association.

She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, her master’s degree in nursing, from the Mississippi University for Women, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi College. She maintains national certification as a family and acute care nurse practitioner.

Allison Hess is the Associate Vice President of Health and Wellness Programs for Geisinger. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight of health and wellness programs for commercial, Medicare and Medicaid populations, community based programming and programming for the Geisinger employee population.

Ms. Hess earned her bachelor of science in Health Education with a concentration in Psychology from Bloomsburg University and is currently pursuing her MBA. She is a Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) and has additional certifications in the wellness and health education field.

Ms. Hess has worked for over 15 years in the specialty of community health and worksite wellness. Her most recent work involves community based strategies impacting food insecurity and focusing on social determinants of health and the impact on condition management.

Tanvir Hussain, MD, MSc, MHS, FACP, is an internist, quality executive, and national policy expert, who has dedicated his career to identifying systems strategies that can improve the quality, safety, and value of patient care.

Dr. Hussain’s clinical work as a general internist has focused on the inpatient and outpatient care of socially and medically complex patients in disenfranchised communities domestically and internationally. His quality career started at Johns Hopkins as a physician champion in ambulatory care and in high-risk chronic disease management for Baltimore communities. As Deputy Chief Quality & Outcomes Officer for Nebraska Medicine, he served as physician lead of quality and population health for an academic medical center comprised of two hospitals, a comprehensive cancer center, and over forty ambulatory clinics, which rose from 63rd on Vizient’s national quality and safety scorecard to 10th among all academic medical centers in the U.S., and remained five stars during his entire stay.

In his current position as VP of Quality for Alameda Health System (AHS), an integrated public health care system of five hospitals (including a rehabilitation facility and psychiatric hospital) and four wellness centers with over 800 beds and 1,000 physicians, he oversees quality & outcomes, analytics, patient safety, regulatory affairs, infection prevention & control, environmental health services, patient experience, clinical education, and policy & procedure. AHS serves the most vulnerable in the community and as an advocate for equitable, compassionate and culturally sensitive care regardless of social and financial barriers.

Neil C. Evans, M.D. is the Chief Officer for the Office of Connected Care in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. In addition to his executive leadership role in Clinical Informatics within VHA, Dr. Evans is an active clinician, managing a panel of patients in the Primary Care clinic at the Washington, D.C. Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC).

Under Dr. Evans’ leadership, the Office of Connected Care is dedicated to improving services to Veterans, their families and Caregivers by increasing access, fostering continuity and promoting patient empowerment through digital health technologies. The Office of Connected Care manages VA’s expansive telehealth program, VA’s patient portal, My HealtheVet, the VA Mobile program, and VHA’s Innovation initiatives.

Along with the rest of the Office of Connected Care leadership team, Dr. Evans oversees the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Veteran digital health strategies, transforming care delivery across the care continuum and geography, and facilitating alignment of health information technologies within VHA to produce a consistent experience for users and continuously improve based on user input, research and evaluation.

Dr. Evans began his VA career after completing medical school at Johns Hopkins University and his subsequent training in Internal Medicine through the Osler Medical Residency, also at Johns Hopkins. He received a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware. He holds a faculty appointment in Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

Steve is the System Director of Virtual Health at Saint Luke’s Health System. He is responsible for the inception of the program in 1998 and the creation of virtual health care teams within each of the hospitals in the Saint Luke’s network. This includes strategic orchestration of clinical, administrative and technical components of their telehealth services. He has developed both inpatient and outpatient telemedicine programs in nearly all service lines provided in the Saint Luke’s Health System. He has orchestrated the necessary technology & providers to create access to a unique, sustainable model of telemedicine.

Steve served on the Missouri Governor’s Telemedicine subcommittee and HIT task force and is regularly engaged with Kansas & Missouri legislative issues impacting Telehealth and HIT. He served on a State subcommittee with the Board of Healing Arts to better define the practice of telemedicine in Missouri. He is a co-author of: a Telemedicine Toolkit in 2017 in conjunction with the American Health Information Management Association.

Jamie Leehy, Director of Population Health Analytics and Provider Compensation, Reliant Medical Group.

Born and raised in Central Massachusetts, Jamie began her career at Reliant Medical Group (formerly Fallon Clinic) in 2007 as a financial analyst and has grown within the organization to her current role. Jamie provides leadership and direction for her analytics teams which measure and report on clinical quality, productivity and compensation, utilization, referral management, medical expense risk, and panel capacity. Jamie leads an internal analytics collaborative which includes analyst teams from multiple departments across the organization to facilitate knowledge sharing, communication, efficiency, and data integrity. Jamie also plays a key role in strategic projects including, but not limited to, predictive analytics, monitoring and measuring outcomes from external partnerships, and ACO contracts.

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Science in Finance from Clark University Graduate School of Management in Worcester. In her spare time Jamie enjoys volunteering for various causes in the community, is an active musician and Treasurer for her local community band, is passionate about exercise, particularly weightlifting and yoga, and is also an avid craft beer lover.

Dave Lehr was named Anne Arundel Medical Center’s vice president and chief information officer (CIO) in 2017. He has responsibility for overall strategy and deployment of electronic information and technology services. Dave joined AAMC in 2015 as executive director of analytics. In his time here, he’s led in the creation of a new Analytics department for the organization, overseen the creation of new organizational data science capabilities and the development of an inter-facility architecture to share Care Alerts across organizations in Maryland. The care alert framework pioneered here at AAMC has gone on to become part of the Maryland Health Services and Cost Review Commission’s CEO checklist for all Maryland hospitals. Dave also serves on the CRISP Privacy and Security committee.

Prior to joining AAMC, Dave worked at Epic where he played a leadership role in building the “Caboodle� population health warehouse and taking it to market. He also worked with the healthcare IT startup, QPID, and cofounded a cloud-based clinical decision support company, Maven Medical. Dave has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Claire Levesque is Chief Medical Officer for Commercial Products at Tufts Health Plan and is responsible for clinical leadership, medical management, and medical cost containment. She is committed to forming strong partnerships with providers to develop programs that are member-centric and that promote the high quality and innovation that is integral to Tufts Health Plan.

Dr. Levesque is a board certified neurologist who received her MD from the University of Vermont and completed both her residency and a fellowship at the University of Virginia. Dr. Levesque specialized in the care of patients with dementia, intellectual disabilities and behavioral issues. Before starting at Tufts Health Plan eight years ago, she was assistant professor of neurology at Boston University, founding and managing partner of a practice in the Boston area, president of the medical staff at a long-term acute care facility and chief of neurology at a community hospital. Dr. Levesque has also published journal articles, book chapters and short stories.

Lee Lewis runs Gallagher’s Innovation Lab practice, a mission-driven group devoted to improving the cost, quality and design of American healthcare. Lee advises several health startups working to solve meaningful healthcare problems.

The Innovation Lab has a track record of breakthroughs. It leads the effort to bring sophisticated health plan audits to private employers. It pioneered specialty drug direct purchasing without using a PBM. His team led a grassroots effort to identify all independent freestanding Emergency Rooms in Texas. The innovation lab developed the first HSA compliant model for back and joint pain prevention, and is piloting first-ever ultra-high value virtual networks in 2018 in two major U.S. cities.

Adam Licurse, MD, MHS is an associate medical director at the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization, and an associate medical director at Partners Population Health Management. He practices primary care at the South Huntington primary care practice.

At Brigham Health, he leads a number of population health and care redesign efforts, including the Brigham’s virtual care and patient reported outcome measure (PROMs) programs. In his Partners Population Health Management role, he directs the strategy and implementation of the group's multiple patient engagement and telehealth programs, including efforts in shared decision making, in-office and virtual patient education, remote monitoring, patient texting, and virtual patient self-management. He has published multiple articles in his field, teaches local trainees and regional colleagues, and has been an invited speaker at numerous national conferences on population health, telehealth, and patient engagement. Adam completed residency training in Internal Medicine at BWH, and earned his MD and MHS at Yale School of Medicine where he graduated cum laude. He graduated from Yale College.

Tran Ly is currently the Head of Health Analytics at a New York City owned health insurance company under Medical Management, focusing on executive reporting, cross-department / enterprise-wide reporting, and program evaluation.

Although an Epidemiologist by training, Tran has spent the last few years in data strategy consulting, in addition to serving as Director of Data & Analytics at SOMOS Community Care, the only physician led Performing Provider System in NY State’s Delivery Systems Reform Incentive Program (DSRIP). Prior to SOMOS, Tran led the development & implementation of the data governance program at NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare System.

Tran’s approach focuses on customer service driven analytics & reporting, and self-service, scalable & sustainable data integrity program—both built upon User Centered Design methodologies that empowers staff to maximize their reporting experience, regardless of varying data competencies & complexity of needs. Michael Mathur is the company founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of BL Healthcare, Inc. who pioneered the development of the core hardware and software technologies for telehealth. Michael has over 25 years of experience within the process control systems industry including product development, business development, market and commercialization strategy development and execution. He has successfully guided several hardware and software products and services business launches with Rockwell Automation and Invensys Home Control Systems. He significantly grew the controller business for Rockwell Automation along with a team of marketing and commercial managers. Participated in acquisition of Reliance Electric for Rockwell Automation. Michael holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Andhra University in India, a MS in Computer and Information Science from University of New Haven, EMBA from Cleveland State University and OPM from Harvard Business School.

Dr. Dervilla McCann is Chief of Population Health at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston Maine, a position she has held since July 2015 after receiving a Master’s degree in public health from Harvard University. She serves as the medical director of ambulatory care services at Central Maine’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO), and is the COO of Maine Research Associates.

Dr. McCann received a BS in Biology at Bates College. After obtaining her MD from Tufts University and training in internal medicine at NYU Medical center, she served as a naval officer for 9 years, completed a fellowship in Cardiology, and achieved the rank of Commander. She completed her military service in 1996 after serving as the CCU Director at National Naval Medical center in Bethesda Md.

. Dr. McCann has developed content for national web-based cardiovascular disease education programs, and has served as a consultant to multiple public health organizations. She is the primary Investigator for the Cascade Registry for familial hypercholesterolemia at Central Maine Medical center, and works closely with the American Heart Association as a public speaker and educator.

Theresa Meadows is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Cook Children’s Health Care System in Fort Worth, Texas. Cook Children’s is a national award-winning, not-for-profit, integrated pediatric health care system comprised of nine companies. She leads a team of 300 members covering areas such as infrastructure, applications, telecommunications, and program management. The IS team currently supports 140 project initiatives that include deploying business intelligence, advanced clinical systems, security and enterprise resource management.

For has 20+ years she has lead efforts for incorporating information systems as a mechanism for facilitating process improvement, clinical quality, and efficiency. Prior to joining Cook Children’s her career included serving in roles as a registered nurse in a Cardiac Transplant Unit; healthcare consulting, project management, and leadership positions at a web development company and a large Electronic Medical Record Company. Meadows also served as a Regional Director for Ascension Health Information Services where she not only lead software implementations but was instrumental in the development of Communities of Excellence.

In her current position, Meadows has led the organization through extensive improvements and modernization. In 2012, the organization received recognition as one of the Most Improved Hospitals as part of the “Most Wired� award program and recognized as one of the Information Week 500 innovators. From 2013 to 2017, Cook Children’s has received “Most Wired� designation. Cook Children’s was recognized by Computeworld’s Honors program for their state of the art distributed antenna system implementation. In addition, Ms. Meadows was also named one of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT leaders for 2013. Ms. Meadows served as the Co-Chair for the Health and Human Services Healthcare Cybersecurity Task Force. This task force is charged in creating recommendations in improving cybersecurity posture in the healthcare industry. The taskforce recommendations will be delivered in March 2017. Meadows currently serves on the HCI Groups CXO Advisory Board. She served as chair for the North Texas Healthcare Information and Quality Collaborative (NTHIQC). Ms. Meadows has published several articles and her organization was the first to participate in the CHIME case study publications on their successful implementation of bar-coded medication verification.

Ms. Meadows has a master’s degree in healthcare informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is an active member of the Children’s Hospital Association CIO Council; is a Fellow in the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS); is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is an active member of the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME). Ms. Meadows is a graduate of CIO Bootcamp and is a credentialed by CHIME as a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO).

In her current role at MVP Health Care, Deborah is the Associate Director of Clinical Account Management. She and her team are responsible for the planning and execution of both worksite and community well-being programs across New York State and Vermont. The team utilizes data analysis and comprehensive planning to assist stakeholders in building a total culture of well-being in the communities they serve. Deborah’s previous experience includes 10 years in leadership roles in Human Resources and Health Benefits Administration. She holds a graduate degree in Health Promotion Management as well as a bachelor’s degree in economics and is a registered nurse. Deborah’s work with The New York State Mentoring Program focuses on creating supportive mentor relationships for students at risk of dropping out of school.

John is the Executive Director of Integra Community Care Network in Rhode Island. Integra is a Medicare Next Generation ACO with more than 120,000 total covered Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial ACO lives. John leads the ACO and is focused on performance improvement efforts within various population health initiatives, particularly spearheading efforts in the areas of complex care management, quality improvement, post-acute care management, shared decision making and social determinants of health. With over twenty years of experience working within care systems reimbursed by global payment and other value based payment models, John has held leadership and management positions in several accountable care organizations (ACOs), integrated care delivery networks and health plans.

Dr. Mishra is responsible for the Express Care suite of services across the PSJH enterprise. The portfolio consists of 34 retail clinics, the direct to consumer virtual and at home services. She has also works closely with the product team in Strategy and Innovation department to develop technology that can enhance the Express Care patient and provider experience.

Prior to this role, she was Medical Director of Innovation where she was responsible for vetting and piloting technology solutions for the medical group to transform the PSJH delivery model.

Dr. Mishra came to Providence by way of Swedish where she was an internist and primary care physician, as well working on primary care re-design. Prior to this, she practiced at Virginia Mason and in Singapore.

Kay Mooney has over 20 years of corporate health care experience. Kay currently leads Employee Benefits and Well-being for Aetna, where she is responsible for the strategic design, delivery and administration of Health, Wellness, Retirement and Financial Benefit plans for domestic and international employees and retirees.

Kay most recently led Aetna's national Health Care Reform Exchange Program Management Office, where she was responsible for driving the development and implementation of Aetna's strategy for public exchanges, and she previously served as chief of staff for the Office of the Chairman and CEO. She has held a variety of senior leadership roles at Aetna, focused on pricing, underwriting, product management, mergers & acquisitions integration and medical cost analytics.

Kay developed and currently serves as Executive Sponsor for Aetna’s Enterprise Leadership Development Program (ELDP), which is focused on building a pipeline of future leaders with a broad range of knowledge and experience across Aetna’s enterprise through rotational assignments with accelerated learning and development.

Her passion for well-being extends beyond her position at Aetna and includes leadership roles with the American Heart Association. Most recently, she served as Chair of the 2017 Greater Hartford Heart Ball. In previous years, she co-chaired the organization’s Circle of Red and Tell 5 campaigns, where she helped drive awareness of the risks of heart disease among women and raise money for this life-saving movement. She also served as Co-chair for the 2010-2011 Go Red for Women campaign for North Central Connecticut and as Chair for the 2014-2015 campaign. In 2018, Kay joined the Board of Directors for Pet Partners, an organization committed to connecting people with the health benefits of animal-assisted intervention. This aligns with Kay’s strong belief in the healing power of pet therapy.

Kay graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Penn State. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

He was named Director of Clinical Informatics in 2007, with an area of focus on implementation, optimization and innovation for healthcare related Information Technology and promoted to Vice Chairman of Clinical Systems in 2010. In 2008 Dr. Morris was named Innovator of the year for his work in implementing physician order entry for Cleveland Clinic and also received Innovator awards in 2010 and 2011 for work around development of a novel medical record. He is active on numerous Hospital advisory committees include medical-legal, quality and safely committees and several operational aspects within the health system. In addition, Dr. Morris sits on the Board of Directors and Leadership Council for eHealth Initiative. He continues his clinical role as a Hospitalist within the Medicine Institute as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.

Khurram Nasir MD MPH MSc is Director of population health & health system research at Center of Research Evaluation (CORE) at Yale New Haven Health Systems, and Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. Recently he served as the Director of Center for Healthcare Advancement & Outcomes at Baptist Health South Florida and remains the principal investigator for the prospective Miami Heart Study (MiHeart). His primary research interests lie primary in cardiovascular disease prevention, big data applications in population health management and learning health systems. He has more than 450 peer-reviewed publications focusing on these areas.

Dr. Nasir received his MD from Pakistan, followed by a MPH at John Hopkins University. Dr. Nasir completed his internal medicine residency at Boston Medical Center and cardiology fellowship at Yale University. He also received postdoctoral research training at the division of cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and was recipient of NIH T-32 fellowship in cardiac imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. He recently earned a Master’s degree in Health Economics and Policy Management from London School of Economics & Political Science.

Dr. Nasir serve as Associate Editor for Circulation: Quality of Care and Outcomes, editorial board member for Circulation as well on the board of directors for American Society of Preventive Cardiology (ASPC).He was honored with the Johns Hopkins Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2013, which acknowledges alumni who have typified Johns Hopkins tradition of excellence and brought credit to the University by their personal accomplishments, professional achievements, or humanitarian service.

Kathryn (Katie) Nermoe is the Corporate Wellness Director at Sanford Health Plan (Sioux Falls, SD) and is also an Amazon.com #1 best-selling author. Over her 20-year career, Nermoe has held leadership positions in health care, marketing and local government administration. Nermoe believes organizational health is the number-one driver of organizational wealth. She contends a businesses’ engagement and wellness strategies are one in the same, and uses the six dimensions of well-being as foundational cornerstones for transforming organizational culture.

Dr. Noel is a clinical researcher, physician and telehealth specialist at Stony Brook University Hospital. She is an appointee to the New York State Department of Health Regulatory Modernization Initiative Telehealth Advisory Committee and serves as the Director of Stony Brook Medicine Telehealth. She provides leadership to all telehealth activities of the institution, working to build a telehealth infrastructure in collaboration with all key stakeholders of Stony Brook Medicine (SBM). She leads the Telehealth Workgroup, an interprofessional organization which creates policies and standard procedures for all medical interventions and services delivered by telehealth. She works collaboratively with telehealth administrative leadership to operationalize telehealth activities addressing clinical, educational and research missions of SBM. She works closely with the Chief Medical Information Officer on telehealth EMR integration, research and Information technology assessment. She also works with the Department of Biomedical Informatics, for which she conducts research incorporating machine learning and precision analytics into readmission risk models. She leads Telehealth education for the institution, has created various courses for the School of Medicine, and trains residents in Internal and Family Medicine in Telehealth, Remote Patient Monitoring, Tele-transitions of Care and Telehealth in Clinical Emergencies. She also works on Interprofessional educational curriculums in Telehealth with the School of Health Technology and Management, The School of Nursing, The school of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine. She has developed a grant-funded Telehealth Opioid and Chronic Pain training module for Internal Medicine Residents.

Dr. Noel is also the Chief Quality Officer of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) for the Family Medicine Department. She creates reports for the practice’s population health management, including physician level reporting, working with quality improvement metrics and aids the Medical Director of PCMH in quality strategy and population health interventions. She co-leads the Stony Brook Readmissions Steering Committee in which she has won service awards for her initiatives promoting clinical workflow, informatics and infrastructural change to reduce preventable readmissions. Dr. Noel is also engaged in the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Program (DSRIP), and a member of the Transition of Care (TOC) committee for which, she aided in the implementation of a 30-day transition of care model for Suffolk County, incorporating a high risk stratification tool for the Medicaid population. At the Northport VA Medical Center, she has helped organize the Ambulatory Care Congestive Heart Failure Task force for the Assistant Chief of Staff for Primary Care/Emergency Department as well as craft group clinics for high risk CHF patients. Her long term professional goal is to incorporate data analytics and population health management using telehealth for underserved populations.

Marla is the Chief Actuary and Vice President of Analytics at Ascension Care Management, a division of Ascension, the largest not for profit health system in the US and largest Catholic health care system internationally. Ascension Care Management is responsible for the development of the enablement platform for Ascension to take on full population health management and risk based contracts. Marla and her team provide actuarial analysis of insurance and value based contracts as well as providing detailed medical cost analysis and population health analytics to drive profitable performance.

Prior to joining Ascension, Marla spent over 25 years working of health insurance payers including Aetna. While at Aetna, Marla led their Medical Analytic organization as well as co-lead their health care reform PMO after the passage of the ACA.

Marla is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the Academy of Actuaries.

Julie Paris is the Wellness Program Specialist at Akamai Technologies, Inc. She has successfully developed the wellness program and engaged her colleagues in programs that align with the 5 Pillars of Akamai Wellness - active, nourished, calm, balanced, and healthy. Her passion for health and wellness started with a part-time career as a group fitness instructor. Completing the Institute for Integrative Nutrition program provided more fuel to her passion for health and wellness.

David Pauer is Director of Wellness for the Employee Health Plan (EHP) of Cleveland Clinic*. EHP covers healthcare and wellness expenses for 90,000 Cleveland Clinic Caregivers and their family members.

David has been with Cleveland Clinic for 11 years, first as a manager in the Employee Wellness department and since 2010 with the EHP.

David has dedicated his career to nonprofit health organizations. He previously was the executive director of the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, and the executive vice president of the American Diabetes Association, Ohio Affiliate.

David earned a Master of Nonprofit Organizations degree, specializing in healthcare organizations, from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from The Ohio State University. David spent a year studying Spanish language, culture, and public health in Madrid, Spain in a program through Bowling Green State University.

Michael has been with Trinity Health for 2 years and oversees the analytics supporting organizational efforts to achieve Triple Aim goals and success under alternative payment models for its national organization and 90 regional hospitals. For the prior 8 years, he designed innovative payment models for physicians and hospitals, evaluated clinical programs and consulted on product development at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Michael has a PhD in Epidemiological Science from the University of Michigan. He has authored or co-authored several publications, with emphasis on large-scale primary care transformation efforts. He also has served as a peer reviewer on journals such as JAMA and Health Services Research.

Dr. Irena Pesis-Katz is the Senior Director for Population Health Management Informatics and Payment Innovation at the University of Rochester Medical Center. As a transformational leader, she has established a new area within the University of Rochester Medical Center. The goals for the department include supporting the development of population health analytics capabilities to enable improved patient outcomes across the system, utilizing payment innovation and informatics strategies. She had built a population health analytical infrastructure that created actionable information to guide informed and data-driven decision-making at the clinical, financial and operational aspects of the healthcare system. Her strong knowledge of the health care industry is founded on a combination of almost 20 years of experience and academic research.

Dr. Pesis-Katz is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing and Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester. Her research areas include outcomes based quality improvement evaluations, economic impact of clinical interventions, and using patient reported outcomes for predictive analytics.

Maria Pugo is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience across several sectors in health care. As a lead for various access-to-healthcare initiatives, Maria has been an integral part in the collaborative efforts in bridging the gap of health equity across the region. At Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), a not-for-profit Medi-Cal and Medicare health plan and one of the fastest-growing health plans in the nation, Maria provides leadership support in research and evaluation. Alongside a team of healthcare data analysts and doctoral fellows, she provides analytical and programmatic support to programs in the organization. Maria has a Doctorates degree in Public Health with a focus on Healthcare Policy and Leadership from Loma Linda University.

Mike Quiqq is the head of strategic marketing and director of health strategy at Vitality Group, where he works both internally and externally on strategy and program design related to improving people’s health and uses strategic communications and marketing to motivate participants in workplace wellness programs and spark behavioral change. His career has been focused on helping healthcare companies improve their business strategy. Mike holds a Masters of Science in Health Communication from Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree in organizational behavior and leadership, also from Northwestern University.

Jackie Riso is a Senior Project Manager on the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator team. Jackie is responsible for leading a range of short & long-term projects, implementing new initiatives and ensuring successful project completion. She manages our hospital to hospital telemedicine programs and virtual visit implementations across Boston Children’s Hospital. Jackie started her career at Boston Children’s in 2011, in Gastroenterology and Nutrition. She spent 3 years managing a variety of operations, such as patient care, supporting a team of 50 and coordinating medical rotations of Boston Children’s fellows along with visiting international Harvard Medical students. She then followed her passion for business operations and joined the Strategy and Network Development team in 2014. After completing her Master’s degree focused on the digital aspects of business, she was thrilled to follow her passion, help build, and become part of the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator team in 2015.

Jackie completed her Master’s degree at Boston University in E-commerce, Systems, and Technology and a BS at Emmanuel College in Business Management, along with a minor in Information Technology.

Dr. Harry Saag was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He received an Economics Degree from The University of Georgia and subsequently returned to his native Alabama where he received his medical degree from The University of Alabama – Birmingham before moving to New York where he completed his residency training in internal medicine at NYU School of Medicine and subsequently served as a Chief Resident.

He now practices as a hospitalist at NYU Langone Health and serves as the Medical Director for Network Integration and Ambulatory Quality across NYULH’s 190 practices made up of academic faculty group practices and 9 Federally Qualified Health Centers working to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase patient and staff satisfaction. In this role, he helps design ambulatory quality metrics for the enterprise as well as assists in strategizing how NYULH will optimize its performance in a hybrid value-based and fee-for service environment.

Leticia Sandoval joined Blue Shield of California in 2007. In her current capacity Leticia owns the vendor relationships for the clinically validated lifestyle medicine programs available to many of the 4 Million Blue Shield of California members. Leticia and her operations team also partner with sales, finance, and employer group executives to design, implement, and track the clinical effectiveness of the lifestyle medicine programs offered to employer groups. Leticia is devoted to furthering Blue Shield of California’s position as an industry leader who uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat and reverse lifestyle-related chronic diseases.

Leticia has a background in Finance and Analytics. Prior to joining Blue Shield of California, Leticia worked at Marian Regional Medical Center as a senior financial analyst producing monthly board reports to top management, identifying trends and areas of improvement based on healthcare metrics: financial, utilization, productivity, clinical performance, and patient satisfaction. Leticia holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with Minors in French and Psychology. Karen is a Senior Population Health Analyst at Molina Healthcare of New Mexico. Her background is in Epidemiology, Public Health, and Population Health, with a specific interest in advancing evidence-based practices to improve health outcomes in underserved communities. She has worked as a Researcher at Idaho State University, where she received a Master of Science in Microbiology and Public Health, Epidemiologist for the New Mexico Department of Health, Data Manager and Program Coordinator at the University of New Mexico for several federally-funded research programs, and currently focuses on evaluation and population health analytics at Molina Healthcare.

Caitlin Schumann is a program coordinator on the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator team. Caitlin’s primary role has been launching and scaling the virtual visit program at Boston Children’s Hospital. She currently manages the technical operations, support and training for the virtual visit program, and is involved in developing other enterprise digital health programs and solutions. Caitlin’s interests and skills are in program development and operationalization.

Caitlin completed her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and MPH concentrating in Health Policy and Management at UMass Amherst.

Roger Smith, Ph.D., is currently the Chief Technology Officer for the Florida Hospital Nicholson Center where he is responsible for establishing the technology strategy and leading research experiments in robotic surgery, telesurgery, simulation-based education, and telehealth. He has served as the CTO for the U.S. Army PEO for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI); VP and CTO for training systems at Titan Corp; and Vice President of Technology at BTG Inc.

Roger holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, a Doctorate in Management, an MBA, and an M.S. in Statistics. He has published 3 professional textbooks on simulation, 17 book chapters, and over 100 journal and conference papers. His most recent book is A CTO Thinks About Innovation. He has served on the editorial boards of the Transactions on Modeling and Computer Simulation and the Research Technology Management journals.

Mr. Snyder has served as a school district Treasurer since 1996. He has served Fairbanks Local Schools in Milford, Ohio; North Union Local Schools in Richwood, Ohio; Cuyahoga Falls City Schools in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio; and Hudson City Schools in Hudson, Ohio before moving to Mayfield City Schools in 2006. He has over 23 years of experience in both the private and notfor- profit environments.

Mr. Snyder holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Toledo, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ashland University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Awards he has received include the GFOA Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the ASBO International Certificate of Excellence, and the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction.

Mr. Snyder is a member of the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO), Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Snyder and his wife Colleen have two daughters and live in Kirtland.

Natasa Sokolovich is currently Executive Director, Telehealth and Senior Director, Affiliated Physician Services, UPMC. As Executive Director, Telehealth, Natasa is responsible for the strategic growth of UPMC’s Telehealth program. As a leading healthcare provider and insurer, UPMC is committed to implementing innovations in technology to develop new models of care that support the healthcare transition from a “volume to a value� based model. Through the ongoing expansion of multiple use cases and clinical services, the UPMC Telehealth program is ranked as a national leader, providing virtual clinical services to both UPMC and non-UPMC organizations.

The UPMC Telehealth program was launched in late 2006, with TeleStroke services and in 2008 services were expanded to include TelePsychiatry consults. UPMC’s TeleStroke & TelePsychiatry services currently span multiple locations throughout Pennsylvania, Northeastern Maryland and West Virginia and Minnesota, facilitating care to thousands of patients. UPMC Telehealth offers patients access to world-class clinical care closer to home. Visit volumes continue to exceed year over year, growth projections. In FY 2017 over 34,000 patients were treated via UPMC telemedicine services.

In 2012, UPMC expanded the hospital-based telemedicine services with a new model of out-patient care delivery through the launch of multiple, virtual multi-specialty clinics across various rural communities. These clinics are branded as UPMC Teleconsult Centers. The UPMC Teleconsult Centers provide patient access to over 35 virtual sub-Specialty services. Through this new virtual care model, patients have access to specialty clinical services which were previously not available within their communities. UPMC Teleconsult centers are available at five locations, with over 6,700 specialist visits completed through FY 2017.

In 2013, Natasa oversaw the launch of UPMC’s direct to consumer, on-line convenience care platform- UPMCAnywhereCare.com, providing 24/7/365 day/year, on-demand access to acute care diagnosis and treatment for patients with low acuity conditions. UPMC was one of the first healthcare organizations to launch its own on-line, convenience care platform, with integration to the system’s outpatient electronic health record and patient portal. In 2016, the UPMC AnywhereCare platform was further enhanced, offering additional consumer features and access through a native App, via a smart phone or mobile device. UPMC AnywhereCare services are provided by UPMC employed clinicians to patients across Pennsylvania, regardless of insurance coverage. Over 17,000 patients have successfully utilized UPMC AnywhereCare to receive care.

As Senior Director, Affiliated Physician Services, Natasa led the launch of a new suite of professional services called- UPMC Practice Solutions. UPMC Practice Solutions provides a menu of options which support private Practice Physicians. Services include: Electronic Health Record Solutions, Answering services, Transcription services and various other business solutions. The UPMC Practice Solutions program enrolled over 650 participating providers. In addition to the UPMC Practice Solutions program, Natasa led UPMC’s partnership with the Western Pennsylvania Regional Extension Center- “PA Reach West� (Federal Program through the Office of National Coordinator) as a sub recipient working to assist “preferred primary care providers� with adopting an Electronic Health Record and becoming “meaningful users� of this technology. Through the end of the program, UPMC contracted to assist over 750 providers throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining UPMC, Natasa worked with several leading Pharmaceutical and Biotech Companies, including- Johnson & Johnson, Roche Laboratories and Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Her professional experience includes operations, sales and marketing, management and contracting, as well as strategic planning.

Natasa’s education includes a dual major, Bachelor of Science, Magna cum Laude degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Business and Psychology, as well as, a Masters in Healthcare Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College. Natasa also holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and is licensed to practice Law in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Telemedicine Association, where she serves on the Business & Finance Special Interest Group. Born in Slovenia, Natasa is fluent in Serbo-Croatian.

Dr. Spalding received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and completed his Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh at UPMC. Following fellowship, Dr. Spalding joined Cleveland Clinic where he built their first Center for Pediatric Rheumatology, acting as the Center Director for five years. While at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Spalding also served as the Medical Director for Analytics and Business Intelligence. During his time as the Physician Leader for Analytics, Dr. Spalding and his team played a central role in the design and implementation of multiple analytical capabilities to support Cleveland Clinic’s value-based care strategy. In 2015, Dr. Spalding joined Phoenix Children’s Hospital as their Chief Clinical Integration Officer and Chief Medical Officer. In this role, Dr. Spalding oversaw the integration of hospital and practice-based quality improvement and care redesign efforts with Phoenix Children’s Clinically Integrated Network.

A native Ohioan, Dr. Spalding returned to his roots to help lead Akron Children’s Hospital as Vice President of Population Health. Dr. Spalding is helping lead the design and implementation of Akron Children’s strategy to align their payment and care delivery models. Additionally, Dr. Spalding is the Division Director for Rheumatology at Akron Children’s Hospital and is guiding the expansion of the hospital's Rheumatology services while working to enhance the patient and provider experience.

Justin Spencer is the National Vice President of Population Health Analytics at Steward Health Care Network, a large community-based physician organization that extends across ten states. Justin oversees the analytic, reporting, and business intelligence functions that support commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid value-based care programs. He has led the development and implementation of physician incentive models. Prior to his current role at Steward, Justin was the Executive Director of Commercial Accountable Care where he was responsible for the operational and financial performance of the network’s commercial risk contracts. Prior to joining Steward, Justin held roles in private and non-profit healthcare organizations, including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He holds a Masters in Public Administration/Health Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.

In May of 2014, Shelley Spencer joined the leadership team at The Christ Hospital as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, she is responsible for patient acquisition, brand stewardship, patient experience and innovation. Ms. Spencer has more than 20 years of healthcare marketing and management experience. Prior to joining The Christ Hospital, she was General Manager of the west coast office for Cline Davis Mann, a leading advertising and marketing services agency in the healthcare sector. Previous roles include President and Chief Operating Officer for various divisions within the Publicis Groupe, a network of healthcare advertising and communications companies; Vice President of Strategic Marketing of Oncology and Metabolics for Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; and Vice President of Global Marketing of the Metabolic and Cardiovascular franchises at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she was responsible for development of launch strategies for several drugs in clinical development and for launching many household consumer products around the globe.

Ms. Spencer earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Boston College and her Master of Business Administration from Pace University Graduate School of Business in New York.

Tom Spring is the director of Wellness and Community Programs for Health Alliance Plan (HAP), with responsibility for health promotion and worksite wellness programs serving HAP commercial groups, members and community health outreach efforts.

Tom previously worked for WebMD Health Services as senior director of Strategic Accounts in the Provider Systems & Reseller Segments, focusing on corporate and community health promotion program strategy, implementation, and business development for health system and reseller clients.

Additionally, Tom has served the industry as program manager of corporate, business, and community health promotion for Beaumont Health System, an adjunct instructor in the exercise science programs for both Oakland Community College and Oakland University, and formerly was an instructor in the School of Internal Medicine in the Oakland University/William Beaumont School of Medicine. Tom also serves as a consulting content expert in exercise science and health promotion for a variety of professional organizations and education providers.

Tom holds a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Oakland University and a graduate certificate in Complementary Medicine and Wellness, as well as undergraduate degrees in Health Science, Exercise Science and Psychology. Tom is certified as a Clinical Exercise and Health Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and is a Fellow of the American Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). He has worked in a variety of areas of health and exercise science including non-invasive cardiology, clinical weight management, corporate and community health promotion, physical/occupational therapy, and personal fitness training.

Tom has authored numerous published scientific papers and abstracts and has authored and/or coauthored four book chapters related to exercise science, most recently in ACSM’s Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, 6th edition and is currently associate editor for ACSM’s Resources for the Personal Trainer, 4th edition. Tom presents regularly at local, national, and international invited symposia, conferences, and various events on benefits of exercise for cardiovascular disease management and prevention, physical activity and epidemiology, metabolism and obesity, and a variety of professional and motivational topics.

Tom has served on numerous professional and non-profit boards and committees, including the ACSM’s Clinical Certification Review Board as Chair of its Certified Personal Trainer committee, former Chair of the AACVPR Membership Committee, Executive Board of the Michigan Wellness Council and as President and board member of the Michigan Society for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He is on review boards for two nationally recognized medical publications and has been repeatedly featured on local media for exercise and health-related topics.

Maya is the Director of Quality and Population Health at Molina Healthcare of New Mexico. In her role at Molina she has implemented the Patient-Centered Medical Home program, Behavioral Health Homes, and leads quality improvement initiatives across the organization. Her special interest is using population health to improve the healthcare delivery system. Prior to working in managed care she enjoyed leading quality initiatives in a hospital, directing a County-led Health Council, and investing lots of energy into Public Health especially in the areas of HIV/AIDS, policy development and environmental health. Maya has a Masters of Public Health (M.P.H.) and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.

BHARAT SUTARIYA, MD, FACEP, vice president and chief medical officer, population health, is responsible for leading population health innovation strategy, and strategic client advancement. He was also on faculty as clinical assistant profession at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sutariya earned his medical degree from Wayne State University. He also has bachelors and master’s degrees in biology from Wayne State. He trained in Emergency Medicine at the residency program of Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.

T. J. Tedesco is co-founder of, and VP Customer Experience for VIVIO Health, a specialty drug management company providing better outcomes at lower costs. For two decades prior to VIVIO Health, T. J. led a branding, marketing and user experience services agency serving the healthcare industry. He and his team served more than a hundred companies, a third for more than three years and six for a decade or longer. He also was a partner at Synepta Group, a healthcare IT accelerator exclusively serving early-stage health tech companies. Early in his career he was a salesperson for several companies, but started in corporate finance with a Fortune 100 tech company.

T. J. has a BA in English from Grinnell College and was valedictorian of his MBA class at Northeastern University. He’s a founding board member of the Build Haiti Foundation and when not living the VIVIO life, can often be found on a local hockey rink.

Ashley Weigl is Associate Director of Risk Reduction Services for MHealthy, the University of Michigan’s Health and Well-being program for faculty and staff. In her MHealthy role, Ashley oversees population-based programming aimed at optimizing health for all. Ashley is passionate about creating thriving work environments, health equity, and working to improve the health of the most vulnerable populations in our communities. Ashley earned her Master’s degrees in Public Health and Social Work from the University of Michigan, and has over 12 years’ professional experience in community and workplace-based health and well-being initiatives.

Paula Widerlite is the Chief Strategy Officer at Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), a $1.1B asset regional health system headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland. She provides leadership in strategic planning, market and business development, strategic revenue growth, mergers, acquisitions and affiliations. In addition she also leads public relations, communications, marketing, and physician relations at AAMC, the state’s 3rd busiest hospital with 370 acute care inpatient beds, a 40-bed substance use and addiction treatment center, 5 outpatient pavilions, a multispecialty medical group, 1,100 affiliated physicians and professionals, an accountable care organization, freestanding imaging and diagnostic services and a research center.

Prior to joining Anne Arundel Medical Center, Paula served as the Vice President of System Strategy and Chief Development Officer with Adventist HealthCare for 22 years. She is very active in the community serving on a number of nonprofit boards.

Paula has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Trinity University (Washington, DC). Paula lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and their two daughters.

Dr. Brenda K. Wiederhold, Ph.D., MBA, BCB, BCN is President of the Virtual Reality Medical Center (VRMC), with offices in Sorrento Valley, La Jolla and Coronado, California; Qingdao, China; and Brussels, Belgium. Professor Wiederhold is registered as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology and the Belgian Commission des Psychologues. Her doctorate is in Clinical Health Psychology, and she is Board Certified in both Biofeedback and Neurofeedback. She is Chief Executive Officer of the Interactive Media Institute, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the application of advanced technologies for patient care; a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSD; Medical Staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla and Co-chair Pain and Palliative Care Committee; a Visiting Professor at the Catholic University in Milan and an Advisory Board Member for the International Child Art Foundation in Washington, DC.

Founder of the international CyberPsychology, CyberTherapy, & Social Networking Conference (CYPSY), now celebrating its 23rd year, she also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the MedLine-indexed CyberPsychology, Behavior & Social Networking Journal (CYBER) published by Mary Ann Liebert Publishers in New York. She has over 300 scientific publications and is currently completing her 18th book. Recognized as an international leader in the treatment of stress-related disorders, burnout, pain and anxiety (panic, posttraumatic stress disorder and phobias) with Virtual Reality exposure, biofeedback and cognitive-behavioral therapy, in 1996 she conducted the first randomised controlled clinical trial using VR and biosensors to treat fear of flying. In 2006 she conducted the first randomised controlled clinical trial using VR to treat Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans suffering from PTSD. She has conducted over 10,000 VR therapy sessions and given invited lectures and training programs in 29 countries throughout Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.

Professor Wiederhold works to inform and educate policymakers, funding agencies, world leaders, the scientific community and general public about the transformative impact technology can have on healthcare. A U.S. citizen, Dr. Wiederhold has lived and worked in Asia, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.
