Who Can Submit
World Healthcare Innovation and Technology Congress welcomes submissions from employers, providers, health plans, public purchasers, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, analysts, vendors and consultants. We invite you to recommend or participate as a presenter, expert panelist/commentator or moderator for a Industry Voice! plenary session.

Session Format
Here’s how the Industry Voice! plenary sessions work:
- Expert-users present the latest technology based on first-hand experience
- Well-balanced expert panels provide lively discussion, cutting-edge insights, and maintain accuracy and perspective
- Moderators ask the tough questions that nobody would raise their hand to
- The audience of key purchasers use an interactive electronic audience response system encouraging anonymous, candid commentary and questioning
You are encouraged to submit abstracts on current and emerging issues related to the following topics:
- The Electronic Health Record
- Bar Coding, CPOE, and the Internet
- Patient Monitoring and Clinical Decision Support
- PACS and Imaging Informatics
- Reporting Medical Errors
- Interoperability/Integration
Respondents to call for proposals are invited to recommend additional technology categories

Schedule
- Abstract submission deadline: Thursday, March 31, 2005. [Deadline extended]
- For each abstract submitted, you will automatically receive notification that your abstract has been received.
- World Healthcare Innovation and Technology Congress will send notice of accepted proposals by Friday, April 8, 2005.

Review Process
Abstract Review for 2005 submissions will be via a committee comprised of health care professionals serving on the World Congress advisory board. Conference managers will also review all abstracts. Content will be evaluated based on quality and relevance of topic, educational value, timeliness, and clearly identified objectives. World Congress will determine final decisions as to acceptance of abstracts and presentation format.
Requirements
If selected for presentation, speakers agree to:
- Submit PowerPoint presentations to World Congress at least 45 days prior to the conference.
- Present information in an objective manner without bias to a particular company, program or product.
- Information in the abstract submission can reproduced for use in conference materials including the electronic presentations (PDF only), documentation book and marketing materials.
- Permission will be given for presentations to be reproduced and made publicly available on World Congress' conference website.
General Suggestions
Appropriate learning objectives must be described clearly. Do not use tables, graphs, special formatting (i.e., bold and underline), or scientific symbols. Abstracts with tables, graphs, special formatting, or symbols will not be considered for review.

Note
World Congress is committed to providing quality continuing education (CE) activities to its conference attendees. As such, World Congress must adhere to the requirements of various accrediting bodies and professional organizations with which it collaborates. As World Congress strives to make as many of its educational activities as possible eligible for CE, we require the cooperation of all presenters (authors, faculty, etc.) in meeting CE requirements and following discipline-specific regulations.
