The 2nd Annual Oncology Management Summit will explore the use of value-based care models, analyze trends in billing and payments, and address drug management challenges to manage costs in the delivery of cancer care. Following the success of our 2015 meeting, we look forward to convening again in Orlando to discuss how oncology management is evolving and track the progress and implementation of the OCM.
Peek Inside The Agenda:
Review the Implementation of the OCM and Summarize the Future Outlook for Value-Based Oncology Management
Since the Oncology Care Model (OCM) was implemented on July 1, 2016, plans and providers have been taking steps to adopt the OCM in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of cancer care. Hear an update on the trends of this integration so far, as well as the outlook for how the model may evolve in the future.
- Summarize the progress and changes made by plans and providers since the implementation on July 1, 2016
- Evaluate common challenges faced by payers and providers in the adoption of the OCM
- Discuss CMS statements for the OCM and value-based initiatives going forward, including what CMS is looking for from plans and providers
Hear How Payers Are Managing the Implementation of the OCM
With 17 payers and almost 200 providers chosen to implement the Oncology Care Model this year, there will be many OCM organizations — both plan and provider — who will be working with others who may not be participating. Learn how one regional and community health plan is implementing the OCM across its Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid lines of business in an integrated health care delivery and financial system and adapting the quality and utilization metrics for its local environment.
- Engage in conversations with stakeholders and find ways to incorporate a focus on quality and value into your oncology strategy
- Collaborate with providers to address gaps in care management
- Evaluate various reimbursement methods under the OCM and discuss how to choose between them
