Angela has many years of experience challenging the status quo to improve healthcare in the US. Her Executive Masters in Public Administration is focused on health care transformation through federal and state policy and reform initiatives. In the health care industry she focused on Patient Centered Medical Home designs and created a team-based leadership model that was adopted across 5 states. She also created new creative wats to drive improvements through the patients perspectives, bringing them across the table with the health care system executives to demand improvements, and it worked. These programs are now running across the state of OR and are embedded into all primary care and hospital practices.
For the past several years, Angela has been leading innovative, employer-led ACO models for Intel in the US. No other large employer has this direct contracting relationship with local health care systems, so to build them all took strong leadership and partnership. The most recent data shows how the vision behind the ACO models is working, achieving Triple Aim outcomes: reducing costs, improving health outcomes, and getting high member satisfaction and engagement rates. Angela is a passionate leader in health care that brings the right people around the table to make the impossible happen.
