Nancy Grygiel
Senior Director
International Compliance at Allergan

Nancy Grygiel is currently Senior Director, International Compliance at Allergan. In that capacity she leads and provides strategic guidance on improvements in compliance effectiveness, risk management, development of global standards, training, monitoring, investigations and remediation with respect to the company’s international operations in four main regions: Asia-Pacific, Europe-Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Canada.

Nancy has over 18 years of experience in legal, corporate compliance and cross border transactions. Prior to joining Allergan, Nancy was at Mylan Pharmaceuticals and previously in private practice with international law firms in Miami, Washington DC and Buenos Aires. Nancy’s areas of expertise are anti-corruption and comparative healthcare laws and regulations. She also has extensive experience working with internal audit teams by assisting them with anti-bribery and healthcare compliance policy implementation, monitoring and auditing. Nancy has performed extensive healthcare and anti-bribery compliance work in various countries, including Belgium, Brazil, China, France, India, Korea and Spain.

Nancy has a JD degree from University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from Georgetown University.

Carolyn M. Bruguera is Vice President and General Counsel of Hansen Medical, Inc., a global leader in flexible robotics for catheters and catheter-based technologies. She joined Hansen in January, 2012. From 2005 to 2011, she served as Vice President and General Counsel of Micrus Endovascular. At Micrus, Ms. Bruguera served on the corporate Compliance Committee and shared responsibility with Micrus’ Corporate Compliance Officer for the design and implementation of compliance programs for the Company’s US and overseas operations and for training of personnel and agents. She was also responsible for the management of Micrus’ legal affairs. Prior to joining Micrus, Ms. Bruguera was a partner with Montgomery Hansen LLP, where she specialized in corporate and securities law. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law. Ms. Bruguera is a member of the California Bar.
