She developed her first direct mail campaign at the age of seven—yes, seven—when she targeted Major League Baseball's hottest stars seeking their autographs. Since then, she’s used her strategic skills to build successful brands, award-winning campaigns, and to grow companies.

Today, Kim leads marketing for EmblemHealth, one of the largest non-profit health insurers in the United States. EmblemHealth’s family of companies includes AdvantageCare Physicians, a multi-specialty medical practice with more than 40 locations in New York, and EmblemHealth Neighborhood Care, community retail centers that address the social determinants of health.

Kim’s natural curiosity has led her from one challenge to the next—whether it was building brands for companies like Visa, TD Ameritrade, Walgreens, John Deere, Kimberly-Clark, and Time Warner Cable, or building a health care advertising agency from the ground up. No matter the challenge, Kim is driven to connect people to meaningful experiences that better their lives.

When not taking on the complex landscape of health care, she can be found hiking with her twin bloodhound mixes or taking on a real challenge: golf.

Dr. Nelson Le genuinely believes that the delivery of healthcare can be more efficient and effective. He is a senior executive who brings 20+ years of healthcare, business, and digital experience to translating healthcare challenges into business opportunities and applying process-driven, solution-oriented, innovative strategies. He is dedicated to improving healthcare through mission, margin, and compassion.

At Humana, Nelson works closely with business leaders across the enterprise in his role of AVP of Product Strategy within the Digital Health & Analytics (DH&A;) organization. Most recently, he has worked on the Digital Health Platform, enterprise COVID-19 vaccine response, and Conviva-IoMT initiative with Microsoft. In addition to his responsibilities, Nelson is the Vice-President of the Humana Asian Pacific Islander (HAPI) Network Resource Group (NRG) and help established the ACE Committee which advances equity, diversity, and inclusion within DH&A.;

Prior to Humana, Nelson served as the Medical Director and Vice President at AVIA Health Innovation where he partnered with C-suite executives at large IDNs and Children’s Hospitals to harness the power of digital solutions to solve pressing healthcare challenges. He also has held executive positions at InterSystems and McKesson.

Nelson is a Pediatric Cardiologist subspecializing in Heart Failure and Transplant. He earned his MD from Boston University’s Accelerated BA/MD Program, completed his Residency in Pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at top-ranked Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health and Sciences University and earned his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Outside of work, the activities that spark joy for Nelson are: exploring all things related to food (challenging recipes, new restaurants, local dives, food destinations), playing tennis, teaching himself to play the violin, writing about his experiences growing up as a refugee and immigrant, and serving on the Board of Directors for Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation USA, a non-profit that rescues street children from trafficking in Vietnam.

Phil Micali is Vice President of Innovation at Medical Mutual of Ohio, a large regional health plan with high level of diversification and market segment focus. He is responsible for identifying, scouting, and developing growth opportunities to meet short and long term strategic goals. Phil has worked extensively in modernizing the complex health insurance industry through continuous design thinking and driving transformation in the payer and provider service offerings, with deep experience in behavioral health, population health, consumer driven models, wellness and closing gaps of care.
