Lauren Williams, MPH, has been with AU Health, in Augusta, Georgia since April 2016. Ms. Williams is tasked with leading all value-based initiatives for the provider practice plan, which is composed of over 500 faculty members. Lauren is responsible for the operational performance of shared savings arrangements and incentive programs, chronic care management, transitional care management, the Quality Payment Program, Bundled Payment for Care Improvement-Advanced, and Patient-Centered Medical Home accreditation for primary care. Ms. Williams is also responsible for the growth and development of AU Health’s telehealth strategy including implementation of the tele-Emergency Department program, and the growth of outpatient and post-acute telehealth services.

Ms. Williams received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and graduate degree in Masters of Public Health with an emphasis in Health Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg. Lauren came to AU Health from Pioneer Health Services, where she served in a variety of roles from Administrator and Associate Administrator for five plus years. In 2014, Lauren began working for the company’s value-based department, Rural Solutions, as Director of Network Development and Strategic Alignment for their Medicare Shared Savings Accountable Care Organization. In this role, she was responsible for developing and managing partnerships with existing and new partners in the ACO, managing and disseminating all reporting for the financial performance of the ACO, and helped align the strategic vision of improving rural health care in the southeastern United States.

Lauren currently resides in Waynesboro, Georgia, with her fiancé and fur babies, Brutus and Boomer. Lauren has a passion for healthcare policy and rural healthcare. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, cheering on her Southern Miss Golden Eagles and serving as the Alumni Advisor for Kappa Delta Sorority at Georgia Southern University.

Debbie Welle-Powell is the Chief Population Health Officer. In this role, she is responsible for integrating our community health strategy with population health. She works with market leaders, payer partners and community stakeholders to develop community-based population health and risk sharing models that focus on wellness and disease prevention for better health outcomes – with focus given to social determinants and our most vulnerable and needy populations. Prior to her new appointment, she served as the Senior Vice-President of Accountable Care for Essentia Health. Essentia Health is a 17 hospital, 1500 provider health system spanning the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, Idaho and Wisconsin. Essentia is certified as an ACO Level III by NCQA. As the SVP of Accountable Care, she led the Accountable Care Division with strategic and operational responsibilities for population care management, system quality, payer strategy and community health with strategic activities to help position Essentia Health as the preferred provider of care.

Prior to Essentia, Debbie was the Vice President of Accountable Care and Payer Strategy for SCL Health System, a $3B health care system with operations in the states of Colorado, Kansas, and Montana. As a seasoned executive, she led the strategic and market activities for Accountable Health readiness while developing innovative products, services, and technologies. Additional focus was on developing a vision, strategy and key tactics to support e-health business.

Welle-Powell has more than twenty years-experience in executive healthcare positions within multi-state regions and integrated provider delivery system. She has extensive experience leading mergers and acquisitions and developing reimbursement and network development strategies supporting a full range of payment models.

She is often asked to speak at national, state and local conferences, chambers, businesses, brokers, hospitals, physicians and employer groups.

Debbie is extremely active in the community and serves on many non-profit national and local boards. Her national board work includes NAACOS, NCQA, and CareCredit. Locally, she serves on the Duluth Chamber Board, Health Care Advisory Council at University of MN-Duluth. Her community service earned her recognitions including Women of Distinction 2014, Colorado’s Most Powerful and Influential Women Award from the National Diversity Council 2014, Outstanding Businesswoman Award from the Denver Business Journal, the Frances Wisebart Jacobs Award for Philanthropy from Mile High United Way, Health Care Champion award from Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved, and Inspiring Leadership award from CampExperience.

Dr. Mary McLaughlin Davis became a certified care manager in 1993. She has provided care coordination services for inpatients, outpatients, and health care plans.

As a Clinical nurse specialist, Dr. McLaughlin Davis has worked extensively with patients having chronic disease, notably congestive heart failure and stroke. She is a Senior Director of Care Management for three of the Cleveland Clinic‘s community hospitals and a guest lecturer at Ursuline College.

Dr. McLaughlin Davis serves as national immediate past president for the Case Management Society of America (CMSA). She is on The Public Policy Committee for CMSA and for the Nursing Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. She speaks on care coordination topics across the country. She recently published the Case Management Guide to Population Health through HCPro.

Crissie is a Complex Case Manager for the Duke University Health System. She received her BSW from North Carolina State University and her MSW from the University of Central Florida. She maintains her Certified Case Management Certification and her License for Clinical Social Work. She has worked as a Case Manager for the past fourteen years in the Duke Health System, with a concentration on the complex cases for the past three years. Prior to coming to DUHS she worked as a Care Coordinator in Mother Baby and Pediatrics at Tampa General Hospital. She was the recipient of the 2019 NC ACMA Crystal Redding Memorial Award for innovative practice of Case Management, courage in the face of challenges, and Humor in the workplace and Teamwork.

Vanessa Roshell-Stacks is the VP of Hospital Operations and Care Transitions at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Vanessa has over 20 years of healthcare experience in areas that include finance, revenue cycle, patient flow, and operations. She is a proven leader with a focus on process improvement that optimizes performance and outcomes. Under her current leadership, Ms. Stacks has worked to transform the Rush Medical Center care management delivery model and patient flow performance through the establishment of R-Path (Rush Path). An innovative approach to patient flow that addresses care management redesign, bed aggregation, multi-disciplinary communication and enhanced analytics. Ms. Stacks has a master’s degree in Health Administration from the University Of South Carolina School Of Public Health and is Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt Certified.

Emily F. Peters has spent the last decade working with founders, physicians, patients, and policy leaders to bring bold new ideas to healthcare. As the founder of Uncommon Bold, her expertise in healthcare transformation is sought out by organizations around the world.

A survivor of a near-fatal postpartum hemorrhage in 2016, Emily is personally passionate about maternal health and is an advocate for blood donation. Her experiences in the healthcare sector, and her competing feelings of love and outrage as a patient, mother, and woman in medicine, inspired her to launch Procedure Press, an independent publishing house dedicated to amplifying bold, bright voices in medicine. She simultaneously published her first book, Procedure Volume 1: Women Remaking Medicine.

Through true stories of women starting companies, building empires of kindness, fighting good fights, going to space, saving themselves, and working to make healthcare healthier, her book beautifully profiles diverse voices from across medicine and inspires action. Emily has spoken at Cornell Weill Medical School, NYU Langone Medical School, Google, Genentech, and other prestigious organizations on the topic of authentic leadership and reclaiming the soul of healthcare.
