François Roussely was appointed Chairman, ELECTRICITÉ DE FRANCE in July 1998. Mr. Roussely began his career as a senior civil servant in 1981 in the offices of the Ministry of the Interior. He was assigned to the Chairman of a parliamentary committee in the Assemblée Nationale and was made Director General of the National Police in 1989. He became General Secretary for the Administration of the Ministry of Defense in 1991. He also spent 6 months at SNCF, the National Rail Company, as General Secretary and member of the Executive Committee.
