Francisco J Grajales III is the vice-chairman of the International Medical Informatics Association Social Media Working Group and a Doctoral Fellow in Health Care, Technology and Place in the Department of Health Policy Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. His doctoral research at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine evaluates virtual relationships that develop through social media between doctors, nurses, patients, and public health professionals. Cisco has worked and continues to consult for the World Bank and the World Health Organization. Cisco is also a Medic with the Canadian Armed Forces Health Services Group and an Adjunct Researcher with the Forumclinic Group at Hospital Clinic de Barcelona in Spain. In his spare time, Cisco is an undercover conference scuba diver, climber, avid reader, and social media geek.
