Jonathan P. Weiner is a Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore. He is also a Professor of Health Informatics at Johns Hopkins. He is the director of the training program in health services research and policy and deputy director of the Johns Hopkins Health Services Research and Development Center.

Dr. Weiner is an internationally renowned researcher, policy analyst and lecturer. His areas of expertise include: healthcare IT, managed care, predictive modeling & risk adjustment, health workforce planning, quality of care, and cross-national comparisons.

He is the co-developer and executive director of the Johns Hopkins ACG team. The ACG case-mix / predictive modeling methodology is used to support the care of over 80 million persons in more than a dozen nations. He current research and consulting focuses on the application of electronic health records and HIT for quality and performance measurement and for the management of the health of populations.
