Herman Weil is senior vice president for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. In this capacity, he serves as Kaiser Permanente’s leader for the Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP and the Federal Employee Health Benefit Program lines of business. He provides overall strategic leadership and coordinates the enterprise-level functional areas and the regional teams that support these business lines.

Weil began his career with Kaiser Permanente in 1975 and has served in a series of positions with increasing responsibility in several Kaiser Permanente regions. In recent years, he has held several enterprise-level roles.

He earned a B.A. from the University of New Mexico and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Northwestern University.
