Kevin A. Dorrance, MD, FACP, is Chief, General Internal Medicine Service,
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and an iconic visionary. He
is the chief architect of the Patient-Centered Medical Home model that has
been adopted across the Military Health System worldwide. Kevin designed a
revolutionary model of care in which primary prevention forms the foundation
for changing how people approach their health, resulting in the transition
from healthcare to health. Kevin is passionate about leveraging technology
to influence health and healthy living; his work is as game-changer for the
future.
Dr. Dorrance enlisted in the US Navy in 1981 and served as a gas turbine
electronic technician before earning his medical degree in 1996 from the
Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Kevin currently holds
the rank of Commander in the Medical Corps of the US Navy.
