James Hereford Chief Operating Officer, Palo Alto Medical Foundation; Former Executive Vice President, Group Practice Division, Group Health Cooperative
Mr. Hereford currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF). He came to PAMF in June of 2011 from Group Health, a 65-year-old, not-for-profit, integrated medical group practice of over 1000 physicians in the state of Washington. Over the past 20 years there, he served in numerous leadership roles including Executive Director of Quality and Informatics, Executive Vice-President for Strategic Services and Quality, and, most recently, as the Executive Vice President of that organization with responsibility for all clinical operations. Additionally, Hereford has served as a faculty member at the University of Washington, The Ohio State University, and the Institute of Healthcare Improvement.
