Lizzie O'Leary is BLOOMBERG TELEVISION’s® Washington D.C. correspondent. She covers all aspects of economic policy including reporting from the White House, Treasury Department and Capitol Hill. O'Leary appears on all BLOOMBERG TELEVISION programming and serves as a regular panelist on "Political Capital with Al Hunt," which airs Fridays at 6:30 PM ET on Comcast Digital channel 103 in Washington D.C.

In April 2009, O'Leary broke the news that Chrysler was entering Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection. She has reported extensively on the current credit crisis, the housing market and the government's financial rescue plans. O’Leary also accompanied Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on multiple trips, including his meeting with the G-20 Finance Ministers in November 2009.

Prior to joining BLOOMBERG TELEVISION, O'Leary served as a producer and reporter from 2003 to 2006 for National Public Radio. O'Leary began her journalism career at ABC News, where she was part of the team honored with a Peabody Award for coverage of the September 11th attacks.

Leary holds a Master's Degree, With Honors, from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, and a Bachelor's Degree, Cum Laude, from Williams College.
