Morton C. Orman, MD

Dr. Orman is a board-certified Internist with 10 years of experience as a full-time medical director for Capital BlueCross in central PA. He is a graduate of Duke University (1969) and the University of Maryland Medical School (1973). He completed a three-year medical residency (1973-1976) at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore, after which he opened a private practice in Baltimore.

Dr. Orman is Founder and Director of The Health Resource Network, Inc., a non-profit health education organization. He is also a co-founder of the Society For Professional Well-being, a national association for preventing stress in physicians and other health care professionals. Dr. Orman has a special interest in human behavior change, including Obesity Management, Exercise Motivation, and Stress Reduction. He is the author of several books and articles about health promotion, including an award-winning book “The 14 Day Stress Cure.”
