Lawrence Becker is director, benefits for Xerox Corporation. He was named to this position February 2000.

In this capacity Becker is responsible for all health and welfare plans as well as defined benefit plans.

Becker joined Xerox Corporation in 1990 and has served in several capacities in the benefits, compensation, technology and operations arenas. Prior to joining Xerox he served as vice president, human resources for Baltimore Bancorp responsible for compensation, benefits, training, staffing and payroll. He has also worked for Formica Corporation, Exxon Corporation and American Can Company in a variety of benefits, compensation, operations and industrial relations roles. Becker is currently a member of the Board of ERIC (ERISA Industry Council), serves on the National Business Group on Health (NBGH) Public Policy Committee, Board of the Greater Rochester Health Information Operation (RHIO), NBGH Founding Board for Obesity and ABC (American Benefits Council). In addition, Mr. Becker is a member of the QASC Expansion Workgroup commissioned by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Becker attended Cornell University’s Industrial and Labor Relations School graduating in 1978 with a bachelor of science degree. Becker resides in Pittsford, N.Y. with his wife Linda. They have two children.
