Physician Recruitment and Retention Summit
As hospitals are starting to gain an understanding of how the ACA is affecting them financially, they are beginning to make budget cuts and reduce costs in “wasteful areas.” One of the areas that are experiencing cuts is physician recruitment budgets. Recruiters are receiving less money to bring in candidates but are still being expected to recruit the top doctors. Once the doctors are hired the next challenge is keeping them engaged in both the hospital and the community, so that they are happy and keep the hospitals profitable.
