What is your proudest career achievement to date?
That’s a tough one in that there are many milestones I am so proud to have been a part of. Each road in our journey leads us to hopefully something fulfilling and to be proud of and reflect well upon. I have been so fortunate to have been presenting for some time now over my career and have guest lectured for a continuing education program locally. I always get so moved to hear from past students, or folks who have attended one of my sessions randomly emailing me or stopping me at an event and saying….Thank you. You made a difference for me. I am humbled and honored to be thought of as one who has an impact on others and don’t take that privilege lightly at all.

What are some of the most relevant trends in the industry?
Trends continue to amaze me in that so much is focused on technology and how to manage and balance it all through tools and apps. I think that somewhere we seemed to have gotten away from the face to face impact of the relationship selling. With so much sourcing going to technology platforms (and that’s not to say it’s a bad thing!), it just needs to find a balance to allow for the interaction of both parties to bring true and real value to the buy and sell process and not as commoditized as it appears.
 We are overwhelmed with eblasts, media and industry magazines, that it’s hard to pin point one or two that resonate. I try to stay balanced with a snippet from here and there and randomly pick up one of the many magazines that grow in size in my office to catch up.

What is your favorite social media platform?
I am one who likes social media….for a variety of reasons. For me, LinkedIn and Twitter offer me some industry news and connections to follow as this is where those contacts more reside. Facebook and Instagram for me are more geared to my “personal” connection points…friends and family. I try to limit it to those as too many more would just be too much to manage.
