1) Where is your favorite location for a meeting?
Being from the Washington D.C. area, I usually like warmer places in the winter – so San Diego and Orange County are always at the top of my list.

2) What is your proudest career achievement to date?
Today’s world – especially in technology – changes rapidly as everyone knows. However, if you help customers solve their challenges, you are valuable. And if you can do that over an extended period of time – while challenges and technology are rapidly changing - I think that says something about a person and how they value customer relationships. Friendships are one thing, Customer Relationships and solving challenges are entirely different.

3) What strategies do you use for dealing with event stress?
In my world, it’s all about communication. All events are incredibly stressful. Setting agreed upon expectations with the client and having back up plans when things go awry is what I have tried to do throughout. For the most part, it’s been a helpful mindset for me and our customers.

4) How do you keep up with trends in the industry and what are the trends to watch for in 2019 and 2020?
Mostly through relationships of folks I trust along with industry publications and industry events. Plus, I think you’ve got to have a little bit of explorer in you. Trends for 2019/2020 – at least in our space – more industry consolidation, more focus on data privacy/data security, and more use of Ai and AR/VR in events.

5) Which social media platform is most effective for you and why?
For me personally, LinkedIn. It has the most relevant news for me and the least amount of ‘noise’.
