Dear Colleague,
The principles of Project Management have been employed for many years in other industries. As health care costs are being scrutinized the industry is realizing the benefits of applying the principles of project management to reduce medical errors, increase efficiencies and improve patient safety.
World Health Care Congress in strategic partnership with Project Management Institute (PMI) Healthcare Specific Interest Group (SIG) provides insight on how health care executives can apply these practices within their institutions to enhance the delivery and quality of care. Issues to be addressed include:
- Identifying and applying project fundamentals including:
- Defining the scope of a project
- Exploring the art of negotiation to achieve buy-in from upper management
- Creating a culture of change and open communication
- Right-sizing time and resource allocation
- Breaking down the barriers to environmental change through the implementation of project management frameworks
- Learning how other industries have utilized project management for a measurable ROI
- Aligning a project's scope with the enterprise-level strategy and organizational mission
|
|
Through a series of dynamic panel discussions, intensive case studies and the ability to learn from fellow peers during multiple networking opportunities, attendees will learn the critical steps that must be taken to change an organization's culture, secure buy-in from leadership, create an environment of open communication, analyze project ROI and allocate resources to decrease costs and improve efficiencies in the system.
We look forward to seeing you in Boston this December!
