Dr. Liesl Cooper is Vice President, Global Healthcare Economics, Policy & Reimbursement for Covidien in Mansfield, MA. In this position, she is responsible for supporting and guiding the implementation of healthcare economics, global policy and reimbursement strategies across the Company’s medical devices global business units. This includes ensuring that the costs/benefits of products are understood by payers, policy-makers, governments and physicians, by ensuring leadership in the provision of credible evidence-based data, thought-leadership and policy-maker interaction in collaboration with government and clinical affairs.
Liesl has more than 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Covidien she was Vice President, Health Economics & Reimbursement at Cordis Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson Company and spent six years at Eli Lilly and Company. Liesl is also a licensed pharmacist.
Liesl holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical and Health Outcomes Sciences, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
