Telemedicine is becoming more established and it is common that the service is requested and looked upon as part of the standard of care, especially in remote areas where it is difficult to have enough specialists on site. The 2nd Telemedicine Summit brings together experts from service provider organizations, payers, technology providers and government agencies to discuss key issues and strategies for improving the quality of care for remote and underserved areas.

The agenda is designed to address questions raised by many providers in order to stay competitive and to supply quality care: How to establish a solid financial foundation and maintain sustainability of telemedicine; what services can be added without adding costs; what are the lessons learned when scaling up the services; what are the updates on regulatory and liability policies and lastly how to tackle the information transfer and the ever changing landscape of technology.

This summit brings together experts who have firsthand experience in working with remote areas and within a two day timeframe, they will share what they have learned, the pitfalls to avoid and strategies they developed in order to create a sustainable service.

Agenda Highlights

  • Billing Models and Reimbursement Strategies
  • Policies and Regulatory Changes in Telehealth
  • Examples of specific telehealth applications that can help achieve the Triple Aim of health care reform
  • How can Telemedicine Reduce Costs and Increase Revenue?
  • Scaling up the Service – Lessons Learned
