The mobile phone is the vital health/fitness tool of the 21st Century. Consumer demand, health care reform and the FCC’s broadband plan promises to drive rapid growth in mobile health care, or mHealth in the months and years ahead. Less than a decade ago, cell phone use was essentially banned in hospitals and physician offices, but now mobile health care is a means to improve organizational efficiency and communication is an essential component for most health care organizations.
The World Congress 3rd Annual Leadership Summit on mHealth will offer strategies for harnessing emerging mHealth technologies for both provider- and consumer-directed initiatives. Applying mobile technology for clinical decision support for anytime, anywhere connectivity and generating consumer engagement with the newest wearable, wireless biometric sensors as well as mobile devices for improving health will be highlights of the event.
Through thought-provoking panels and case studies, you will learn how the leading organizations are integrating mHealth strategies into the care delivery model. Topics to be explored include:
- Impact of HITECH stimulus legislation on wireless health
- Strategies to accelerate the adoption of mHealth and sustainable business models
- How innovative, user friendly devices such as the iPad and similar devices can deliver measurable health benefits to consumers, patients and professionals
- Evidence from early studies and data that show the clinical impact of mobile and gaming on health outcomes
- mHeath initiatives that improve organizational workflow or patient outcomes (e.g. decrease hospital re-admissions or improve health status)
