FastFive – August 2017

1. What story in our industry impacted you the most in 2016 and why?
I don’t think I can name just one story. Our industry has many different moving parts that are constantly changing and evolving. Staying educated helps me to make the biggest impact on my career, my company and our industry.
2. What advice would you give your younger self?
Get involved! The more involved you are, the more you get out of it. This can be applied to all aspects of life. Be involved in your marriage, your kids’ lives, your company, church, clubs, etc.
3. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Binging on Netflix shows. My fiancé works the night shift so I will sometimes watch an unhealthy amount of shows in one sitting. Who didn’t watch the entire season of Stranger Things in one day??
4. What does your current “just get it done” playlist look like?
Nothing like a good mix of 80’s and 90’s to get me motivated!
5. What’s your favorite city and why?
Chicago is my new favorite city. I moved here about 5 years ago. It is where I met my fiancé at a Cubs game. Summer time in Chicago is so much fun because there is ALWAYS something going on. I have even come to enjoy the winters. Not as much as the other seasons, but shoveling snow offers a new kind of workout that I never got to have growing up in Louisiana.
