As a physician advisor at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Dr. Charles Locke has seen his role evolve over a very short time. He shares what he's learned over the past 3 years. Dr. Jimmy Chung practiced general and vascular surgery for 13 years before moving to a managerial position at Providence Health & Services. The move gives him valuable insight into how physicians can be more effective in a changing healthcare environment. Challenges still abound in the area of Physician Advisor medicine. Dr. Tibian Abramovitz describes the issues he has to address in his role as a physician advisor at the Mount Sinai Health System.
